Jacky Ickx career includes some of the most remarkable, dramatic, awesome, fearless, incredible, legendary & beyond legendary, drives in motor sports history... I remember his 3rd place as a guest in a McLaren at the "Ring in '73... he blitzed Hulme & Revson.. I was certain he'd drive for them in '74.. I'd be fascinated to know what went wrong with the Lotus 76...about his win at '74 Brands Hatch R.O.C in the rain.. his thought's when Ronnie barged past on the final lap at the Ring in '74 when they were teammates.. what it was like to steamroll everyone at the German Grand Prix '72 in the Ferrari 312B2....

There is also that time when he almost finished 3rd (broken suspension 2 laps until the end) at the nurburgring with an F3 in an F1 race. He actually qualified 3rd with an F3 but the F3 had to start at the end Edit 1: it was f2 Edit 2: Just seen the segment, it's crazy how humble he is about it

How much more intelligent and illuminating this discussion is compared with BCC programmes like Topgear. Fascinating to glimpse inside the mind of an F1 driver of that time. No fear when racing. Just passion. Incredible.

Never really a fan until this interview which I think revealed a very humble, passionate and fascinating man. Would love to hear more of his varied career in F1 and sports cars.

11:05 interviewer on the left ruins a moment with a smart ass remark

Ickx won leman, crossed the desert several times, wins in f1 only to have to deal with this type of smart ass low class culture of today. You're interviewing a legend and you think it is smart to act like that to your interviewee? Shame on that interviewer on the left whoever he is.

It is as if your interviewer is competing with Ickx, in his imagination, trying to look smarter. The more this interview goes on the more I see him interrupting Ickx. Disgusting.
