so it's a little confusing but mia ends up being a conduit for all of the spirits. The drowned lady is always after mia and pretending to be her mother, the horny foot lady is always after daniel and uses mia's body to get to him, and the old man is always after riley, and takes his place in mia's mind to convince her to kill him and hand him over. the first spirit each person connected to is attached to them, basically.

In regard to the ghost, it's all the same bloated drowned ghost lady. It's established she can change her appearance. Mia was possessed since the first time she tried it. It's just like real life, It's a metaphor for drugs. She was venerable because her moms passing. She also didnt want to do through with it when she first seen the ghost. But everyone was scream yelling at her to do it. It hooked onto her because of it. Then when she needed help the most, she was alienated and everyone blamed her instead of taking part of the responsibility. So she spiraled deeper and deeper. Alone and becoming more dependent on the hand. The young kid was vulnerable too, mostly because his age. At the end, Mia let go of the wheel chair as if she came to her senses but the older sister then pushed her onto traffic. It's all parallel to real life. Mia needed someone to fight for her like that kids sister did for him. But instead she got pushed under the bus. Thats why he got better and she didnt. Because you can't get better alone.

@@superkoopatrooper4879 When Mia first did the talk to me, a person that played the game who was in the afterlife was already following her around, because the kangaroo was split (half dead half alive) and remember she didn’t run kangaroo over with her car and put it out of its misery. She kept driving leaving the roo split. later that night she talks to the hand, and that’s why we see the kangaroo and the water we keep hearing is the drowned woman who never went back to the afterlife she used the split aka half dead kangaroo to manipulate Mia; the old man the split the little brother but had to leave when jade pushed Mia in the street. Mia finds out the other hand is in the afterlife. What people keep missing about this movie is that if something is half dead around they don’t have to necessarily go back. This is also why they can’t stay for that long and the strap the other people in the chair remember that guy said in the beginning they want to stay and then they find out later that if you die while they’re in you, they’ll be with you forever.

That slightly confuses me regarding Daniel though because as far as we know he didn't go over the 90 seconds. I don't remember them mentioning his time specifically. We only know that Mia and Riley went over 90 seconds when they did it. And for Riley, they didn't blow out the candle that we are aware of.

The drowned lady who possessed Mia manipulated Mia throughout the film as she impersonated Mia’s mom, Rhea. Every time Rhea appears, she gets wetter, and the sounds of guttering water can be heard. In the final shot of Rhea, we can see that it was the drowned lady all along as she whispered into Mia’s ear.

They always tell you before you contact any Spirits to be in the right state of mind. Mia was very depressed from her mother’s death which left her vulnerable for any dangerous spirits to go after her. Going over the 90 seconds didn’t help either. Riley is pure because he’s a child, which is why Duckett’s brother asked them about letting a kid do it. On top of him also going over the 90 seconds.

I believe Mia's dad did die, and I think he died in hospital, at the end we see him go into the elevator and the light is flickering UP which I think symbolises him going to heaven. If it was real and it was him as you say leaving the hospital then wouldn't the light be going down which is normally where hospital exits are? It's a very specific choice to have to elevator light flickering UP 💁🏻‍♂️

In case you didn't know this movie was made by KZbinrs "RackRacka" who became super popular by making high budget viral videos like their Mortal Kombat fatalities video. A ton of their videos were removed after KZbin's new policies found them too violent and gorey. It's just crazy to have been their fan for so many years to see them make it to the big screen

1:03:30 plot twist most ppl think she jumped in front of the car but jade actually pushed her to save Riley. Mia thought she was talking to her mom the whole time until she heard last words of the drowning lady to notice it wasnt her mom. Now did Mia knew jade was gonna push her into the road to save her brother? No but once she died she blacked out and woke up in the streets thinking she survived a accident she caused transitioning to the hospital seeing everybody she harmed better and healed while she becomes the other hand of the “Game” P.S if you slow it down frame by frame you can see jade pushing her

Idk in my personal opinion, when jade said that Riley shouldn’t do it, why didn’t she demand that Riley leave the room as jade was? As an older sister to three brothers I would’ve threatened to rat out my brothers especially if it was for their safety, but instead jade just leaves him there knowing he’s probably gonna bug Mia about it when jade heard that Mia wanted to let Riley do it, so I don’t think Mia is at fault because again, as an older sibling, she should’ve done a better job.

@@LangkeeLongkee again as an older sister, I wouldn’t care if he brought up my boyfriend troubles, that would give me ten times more reasoning to bully the shit out of him and demand that he leave the room, threaten to call mom or some shit, but not leave him alone in a room with a bunch of delinquents, and I know that Mia is technically family but again, jade saw how Mia wanted to let Riley do it, again, if I was jade I’d be pissed at my friend and demand that she leave as well, i guarantee if jade told Mia to leave after that comment none of that would’ve happened, and none of that would’ve happened if jade forced her little brother out of the room.

@@S0urmf420 I literally said I also would not have left the room, but completely blaming Jade is ABSOLUTELY insane when there were THREE other people, lowkey Mia was more of a big sister to him than Jade sometimes, and they all encouraged it after explicitly conceding to Jade that he shouldn't do it. Jade was not the one baring the most responsibility there. Again, I would beat all dey asses. She had mercy to still talk to thin after that, I would simply have to half kill you.

When I was a kid, I always loved animals. My family always had pets. One day, we’re driving home late from something and a deer runs out in front of us. I’m only like 8 or 9 at the time, but I was extremely worried about the deer. My parents wanted to help it, so they put it in the trunk, and the ensure that it didn’t buck around and freak out, they… threw me into the trunk with it. It was a very cramped space, but I was stuck in the trunk with the dying deer. After making a few calls, my parents decided that they would put the deer down. And they had me watch and be there to keep it calm up till its last moments. It was awful. And they kept doing things like that going forward. A mouse is loose, they’d tell me to go catch it. There is a snake in the yard, they’d tell me to go kill it. Stuff like that is awful.

Joss explained to them that Ducket gave him the hand because Ducket was seeing ghosts without the hand. Mia went over 90 minutes, thus the ghost stayed with her. If you blow out the candle in 90 seconds it goes away. If not, it stays. It's said right there at the first possession. And when they explain the Ducket character, it's just before they meet Ducket's brother.

When I was a freshman in high school, this senior who was new to our school (we had chorus class together. That's how we met) would buy me cigarettes because she was 18 and I would pay her for them. I was trying to be cool (like an idiot in the early 00's), and she was trying to make friends and fit in moving from the east coast (usa) to the midwest during her senior year. In retrospect, I was too young to be friends with her, but she was nice and just really having a culture shock. 😂 Sounds weird, but because she was from NJ, she never heard of sales tax, and it was a whole ordeal when she went to the mall to buy some jeans in WI for the first time 😂😂.

Into crazy alternate realities, the Netflix series 1899 is more than excellent. 1899 is a major Inception like mind fk of a movie that I would have expected from the Nolan brothers. Also, Jade and Daniel were not in the room when it happened. Daniel went with Jade to comfort her. As for Mia, she was doomed since the 1st time she did it because she went over 90 seconds. Once you go over 90, "they'll want to stay." And I don't know if you caught it when you had to edit this but they explained all of your questions in the bus scene itself. Duckett had the hand 1st and gave it to Hayley/Joss because he started to see the spirits without it like Mia. One of the times he did it he went over the 90 seconds. The stop effing up people's lives comment was aimed toward them letting Duckett continue to use it even though it was making his mental state worse and worse. They knew exactly what the hand was doing but continued getting others to use it at parties and then they really messed up letting an innocent child use it. Hayley told us exactly how they treated Duckett when they described Mia to Jade. "Clingy and annoying" because they were depressed. So they basically left him because he wasn't the 'life of the party.' by their standards anymore. For the ending, if you slow down the car accident scene. Mia had let go of Riley and Jade pushed Mia away from Riley.
