Idk if anyone mentioned it or if you even really wanted to know, but the song "Chandelier" is about Sia's struggle with addiction (particularly alcohol) and mental illness. ❤️ It's a running theme in much of her work.

I found this movie SO scary. I am normally pretty tough to crack with horror but this one caught me off-guard.

I think this is based on the mid 2000's when all the cool kids did salvia and recorded each others reactions. A lot of it was uploaded to youtube for peoples enjoyment. I seen videos of people smoking it and jumping through screen doors, shaking on the floor, screaming at the top of their lungs like they're dy1ng etc. Most of it has since been removed for good reason.

I've done it 3 times and seen 10 people do it qns EVERY single one started gigling eyes rolled back and fell back. You don't move. So bullshit videos I bet! There is leaf and extract 10x 20 x 30 40x etc strength. Supposed to do with a torch to.metablize correctly. 1st did with lighter and did. Work tho. 20x extract. Buddy held it took one puff then 2nd suddenly felt floating in water ans heard voices saying my name n birds. Now only lasted 15 seconds. Strongest hallucinigen but weakest shortest. U feel tingles arms and fall backwards as eyes roll back tho every one ever seen do it. U can't move if u wanted to. Physical effects lasted maybe 10 15 mins after. But only tripped few seconds. The shamans say you see the afterlife when do it. Who knows but ya I suspect fake vids or some other bath salt drug as u had to buy from smoke shops or I first got pure pleasures lingerie shop ha. This was like 2005. But they could be selling kids any shit they dunno. We researched heavily and knew shit about it first too. But ya not 1 could move puts ur head another planet and tingly arms and do not stand least for 15 minsm

The ghost mother was not really Mia’s mom. The drowned ghost in the very beginning that Mia let in took on the form of her mother. You can tell because you hear the same water noises in the background when she’s around as well as the fact that Mia’s mother continues to decompose as though she’s been in the water. Mia’s mother really did take her own life and the father was trying to keep that from Mia to lessen the sting of losing her mom.

Loved this movie when I first saw it in theaters then found out it was made by KZbinrs and I gained a totally new appreciation for the camera work, the plot, and just the audacity lol

Made by the brilliant KZbinrs Racka Racka. I think I had almost the same reaction you guys did except at the end the penny didn't drop until the guy said 'I let you in' I jumped up. The actor who played Riley was really impressive and I don't think anyone was on Mias side, you don't drag an impressionable kid who obviously idolises you into that darkness. Ik this was 4 months ago but FYI its normal in europe and australia to drink as young as 14. Theyre not allowed to drive in most of the EU until 18. 14 isnt the best but its pretty normalized by 16. Even canda is chiller abt it. America is pretty much the only western country to take issue with this. Its also more common in the west to be ok with pregnant women drinking and smoking apart from america. I personally think this is one of those things where being american is an absolute W.
