This is so strange to me! When I'm on my period all that changes is I need to wear a pad, take some pain relievers sometimes and maybe a little chocolate! But I mean "I want something natural for my lashes when I'm on my period"...??? Really? Why? What difference does your period make to your lashes?

+tonileigh09 No, I don't take them either but it's because I don't wear tampons so it's not really a possibility when I'm on my period. I guess people who wear tampons could take baths if they want to and it might be good for relaxing the muscles that get tense when you're cramping

Hmm, overall a video full of good intentions, but what's with "i want a Natural mascara when i'm on my period ". This is just a bit much. I mean: we are still the same person even when we are on our periods. At least myself i don't change mascara only because of that...

This video is a bit ludicrous. It's good to have open and honest discussion about periods. It shouldn't be an embarrassing issue. But who on earth is meant to find this 'routine' relevant to their lives, which for most of us have to continue as normal when on our periods? Most girls/women getting periods are going to school, university, work or running around after children all day. Imagine ringing your boss and announcing 'I won't be coming in today - it's my time of the month so I'll be staying at home to arrange flowers and fill my bum bag'.

I go about my day as normal.... 5am wake up and get ready for work, go gym after work and do it all over again the next day I use the same products and do the same routine.... And I'm 99% sure this is the same for everyone Who would even bother with all the natural mascara and candles and not washing the hair... Please lol

Ladies, my comment wasn't to say everyone is the same - as a teen I was bed ridden most months.... But then I got medical help. My point is life shouldn't stop or change for that time of the month, and if it does then you need to seek further answers Don't take extreme PMS as something that is part of life....

Becky, I love how real you are. There are so many younger girls who might be struggling to cope with the trauma of going through their period every month (I know I did)...just the fact that you make this something that they don't have to feel ashamed of is wonderful. I find the negativity in these comments to be incredibly disappointing. The point of these videos is for someone out there to find some sort of help from this...not to breed negativity. I think you are amazing and I love you. Thank you for all your hard work and your big heart❤️

Have you tried menstrual cups? They're amazing if all the chemicals in pads and tampons irritate your lady parts. They also eliminate the risk for TSS and you only have to empty your cup every 12 hours or so! They come is so many shapes, sizes and colours - so there is one for everyone. Probably the biggest benefit though is that you can spend hundreds of dollars! Because menstrual cup lasts you for years. I can just encourage everyone to get one, I love mine! :)

I am so happy you switched to organic, bleach-free tampons and liners! I was one of the people that suggested you should try to make the switch on your periods hacks video! I switched only a few weeks ago after having read a lot of things about harmful chemicals used by very popular feminine product brands such as T.....x, and it's for the best! Now I'm happy that I know exactly what chemicals won't be absorbed and entering my blood stream! You're awesome for spreading the word and having a positive impact on people's health and the environment! You go girl!

I would only dream of being able to hunker down and wrap up and hibernate with an extra special set of bath products, makeup, teas, and such just for my period. I am jealous,if you are able to do all this every month at that time! Haha! My routine is simple. Mine usually starts when I'm at work. So I just carry my re usable pads in a special wet bag type bag and I put one on. When I get home I usually change it and change my clothes to gym clothes. Then I make comfort food. Then I go work out. I repeat the process until it's over. The end

Love how you user and promote a couple of companies who contribute to charitable causes, would love to hear about more. You should try a menstrual cup! intimidating at first but really simple to use once you get the knack and helps if you do get sensitive because it doesn't dry you out like tampons can do. You also only need to buy once and it will last for years so it's relatively environmentally friendly. x

When you've run out of video ideas and get your period on the day you have upload a video... I mean seriously, I'm not trying to hate but why is this a video? Like my routine is put in a tampon and take an Advil and give myself an excuse to eat lots of chocolate. That's really it.

Good timing! Thank you. I'm due in a day or two. I find it's really important to keep my feet (and torso) warm to reduce cramps. Taking high strength fish oil once or twice a day, a few days up until my period also really helps.

I don't usually do anything different when I'm on my period. I drink a lot of tea that helps with bloating, take painkillers when I get a migraine (usually on my second day). I try to eat fresh clean foods too cause eating junk food makes me feel extra sluggish when I'm already tired and bloated from my period. Also I don't have a bath but I like to have a hot shower with some type of invigorating bath gel like a citrus scent that wakes me up and feel fresh

I think the negative comments are a bit much. Some people can feel more sensitive before and during their period and these are just some tips to help. I don't think the video suggests you need to change your whole lifestyle, but rather you can pick and choose any tips that might suit how you're feeling. Taking a bath or lighting a scented candle are simple ways to de-stress anyway, so I don't know why some of the comments make such a big deal out of it :-)

Hi Shoyah! The menstrual suffering are serious symptoms to be studied with precision and resolve, because you can to make a lot to avoid to have pain. I am a nurse and since 1970 I have been studying women's health, the severe menstrual pain and the methods to prevent the painful cramps, because the period must not cause distress and the menstrual suffering is not fair! I will can describe also an easy method of progressive thermal stimulation able to "prevent" the pain that you feel and not just to oppose it with some "remedy", only during the menstruation, time by time. Have cramps and discomfort is never "normal" and must be avoided!

When I'm on my period (weekdays): I get up and got to the restroom and change my pad into my always ultra thin size 2 on and then go downstairs and eat or just wonder around for a minute then I go up stairs and get dressed and do my normal routine then I go to school and a change my pad before lunch so every 3 to 4 hour's then go home and change my pad and do normal stuff then at night I do a mask and then hop in the shower and get out and change Into a overnight pad right away I use the always ultra thin size 4 overnight (then do it all over again, but sometimes I leak and have to change)

Hello people... It's called "MY PERIOD ROUTINE" not "YOUR PERIOD ROUTINE" so stop commenting saying that nobody has the time to do any of these things when it's your time of the month!!! I am a nurse and since 1970 I have been studying the severe menstrual pain and the methods to prevent the painful cramps, because the period must not cause distress and the menstrual suffering is not fair! If you need, I'll try to help you by an easy method of progressive thermal stimulation, to "prevent" the pain that you feel and not just to oppose to it with some "remedy", time by time. +osv1950 I get really bad cramps on the first two days of my period. I thought it was normal to get cramps on your period. I also had an ovarian cyst that made my period days like hell. What is thermal stimulation?
@osv1950
@osv1950 8 жыл бұрын
Hi Lee! Thanks for your question. Certainly, a lot of girls suffer, but a lot of others are well. Every organ of our body don't causes distress, if its function is regular, but along the history, the woman is always been penalized and its suffering considered as "normal". Unfortunately, very often many things "diffused and common" are considered "normal", but don't exists a pain "normal": it's always an alarm that must be studied and resolved. The ovarian cyst can give an irregular period, but normally shouldn't cause a particular pain. The system of progressive thermal stimulation is a particular use of some hot water bottles, not considered (this is the fundamental difference!) as a simple temporary "remedy", as it is commonly used and recommended, but as a "preventive tool" to obtain important results on different body systems, for health, wellness and especially to prevent the severe menstrual pain and the painful cramps. I will give you the description of the method: the purpose is to "prevent" and not only to "oppose" the pain, time by time. If you like, we'll talk about it, also by my email osv1950@gmail.com, if you prefere. Please, write again describing your pain: I will glad to try to help you. See you!
