Lewandowski and Szezny are holding us back. Lewandowski can’t control the ball, horrible first touch and missing sitters won’t help us in the future. With Ferran Torres we attack fast and the movement is quicker. Scerzny will cost us seriously in the future and I just don’t know why he’s starting above Pena, I don’t get that.

@@BC-mj7gjyou’re right but that is sports. Players form will fluctuate sometimes through out the season. Lewa was good during most of the first half of the season but we see him struggling now. Szczesny on the other hand has some quality but he’s slowly getting into the rhythm as me plays more games. I don’t personally think he performed bad yesterday. Peña is a good goalkeeper too but he sure has his own weaknesses. I’d rather we just stay calm and let the coaches handle the situation as they see fit because they’ve been doing great work even with all the limitations on the financial part of the club. These players are the ones we’ll have to stick with throughout the season

Peña is such a good sweeper keeper and much much better with his feet, due to our high line we’re more likely to concede long balls over the defensive line and unless it’s PERFECTLY hit Pena is ALWAYS there to punish, makes the right decision most of the time as we also haven’t seen him being lobbed or make an error. I think we don’t concede that second goal if it was Pena purely because he would be slightly further up and ready to cover the shot more. Peña>>>

What gets me angry is how some of the backline just watch attackers run into the box and already have their hands raised for offside. It almost reminds of what Pique used to do in his latter years. It was very frustrating. They need to be talking to each other and pay attention to each others positioning. The most egregious was Araujo, who I think doesn't really understand the high line as well as he should.

I am glad that Araujo's performance becomes a subject of discussion. I will reiterate my observations about Araujo: he is tough but not smart like Cubarsi. With that, this weakness will be more exposed in Flick's system than it was under Xavi. Hence, I doubt if Araujo can be a starter ahead of Cubarsi and Martinez.

Araujo missed both the pre season and beginning games with the team. Comes back from injury, has played 4ish games with this brand new style and still got player of the week. Lots of armchair coaches acting like eric garcia would be a better option. Also with inigo we still have leaked goals and lost. Regardless of chemistry with cubrasi i want to see results

I think people need to give more time for Araujo to actually adapt to the high line he’s only played 6 games since coming back from the injury and he’s been coming off the bench for majority of them i strongly believe that he’ll fit flicks high line he just needs more practice on it and more consistent playing time it will be the same for Christensen I’d the rather players make these type of mistakes in games that don’t matter as much instead of them doing them in the biggest of matches.

If a player leaves every time a club decides to freeze him out, would give the club too much power. Sure as a player you want to be playing, regardless of the club, but at some point you have to take a stand and remind the club you have a contract and they should respect you and the contact.

Lamine is undoubtedly such a bright spot for this team. And of course he is young. And with what we've seen, the pressure, that's been heaped on his shoulders, he does seem to be handling it much better than a lot of our previous "the next messi" players. Bojan, Ansu...these young kids were hyped up so much and they crumble under the pressure because it's just inconceivable how tough that must be. So I'm glad to see that hasn't been happening to Yamal. However, with that confidence that we see from him that makes him able to bear the pressure better than others...I feel like we've kinda seen an arrogance about him. And if you're gonna be the best, you have to believe you can be and you have that potential. But what I'm really hoping to see in the coming year or two is the other side of Yamal come out, that unselfish side of a Messi-style player. Of course it's great he believes he can always do it. But, especially in the past few months, there is a selfish streak in his play. That belief that he can dribble all the way to the net and score is great. But his finishing isn't there like it was with Messi. So my wish would be to see him take that confidence and that ability, dribble past 1/3 of the defense, and then *pass the ball* to the people he just opened up with his movement. That was what made Messi such an otherworldly playmaker. He would have the skill and confidence to dribble more, but he would have that sort of sixth sense of playing it off right when someone else is in on goal. And Yamal is such an excellent passer. And he is definitely a good finisher. But knowing when to activate which skill is that final piece in the puzzle of excellence that I would love to see from him. A few times in this game alone, in his dazzling movements in the attacking third, he would be doing so well, but he was just so laser focused on getting to the net that he didn't even look up or even consider passing the ball. We've seen Lewa and Raphinha both sort of throw their arms up when they were clearly in the better position. Because instead of putting them through with an easy tap-in after creating such an excellent chance, Yamal puts in a halfway good shot, but they get easily stopped. He is great, no doubt. But he could be Messi-tier when he finally activates that last-pass vision. He has all the skills, but it seems like he just doesn't have the desire to pass it when he should.

Araujo is a weakness in our defence for sure but we need to give him time. His biggest weaknesses are not being able to play out the back in comparison to Cubarsi, his constant bitching about offsides when it's not and getting cauggt off position. That was never the case with Cubarsi. Cubarsi and Inigo is the perfect pairing, both are excellent passers and great defenders with an impeccable offside line. We should sell Araujo if he wants to leave, although I would rather he stayed as a back up but I doubt he'll accept to be a back up defender over a 17yo

Yeah, it’s not a good look. And Raphinha does it too. Both seem to think they’re bigger than the team. Neither is “carrying the team”, as some claim, in any way, shape, or form. They’ve had their fair share of meh and bad games this season. Attackers tend to get the hype and are awarded the MVP if they score a single goal, even if they’ve played poorly overall. Yes, I’m talking Raph, Lamine, and Lewy.

Barca has conceded many goals and was unable to maintain a clean sheet in many games, it's not much of an individual fault but to blame Barca new defense system - very risky high line and offside traps, you can't rely on a gamble to win big and all, not even with Cubarsi and Martinez

My opinion is we lost games because we weren't able to score enough goals. This was maybe due to the players being tired due to the accumulation of games. Concerning Monaco's games that was a weird games because of an early red card and you can't make any conclusions based on this

Haven’t we learnt that to win or even go deep in the ucl, teams need to have a SOLID defence, with good chemistry? I can see us doing this with Pena; Balde; Martinez; Cubarsi; Kounde. With Kounde being the weak link at the back. But this is our best defence, easily for this season.

Both Szczesny and Pena are good GKs but I think Inaki is more suited to play with such high defensive line. For Atalanta's 2nd goal, Kounde was also positioned badly and that affected the recovery attempt. Araujo will take some more matches to synchronize with the rest of the defense in terms of the high line and offside trap.

I honestly think Araujo doesn't want to be competing for a spot. Maybe in the negotiations he wants guaranteed playing time. Remember he basically had the power in those negotiations. He also didn't need to leave and could have waited and left for free. As much as Barca talk about selling players if they don't renew. It's really not up to them to make that decision. The players hold the power in their contracts.

I would personally rather have Pena in goal tbh. He’s much better and quicker off his line than Tek is. He’s pulled off some incredible saves too in big moments and tbh hasn’t really don’t anything to warrant being dropped. I think we should keep pena for La Liga and UCL games, Tek can have the Copa and some UCL games if needed. But although i like Tek and appreciate what he’s doing, Pena hasn’t really done anything to deserve to be dropped completely.

Fati should definitely take on that option cause he would be a regular starter in Ajax' squad. Ajax is very similar to Barca in terms of play style and club culture, albeit at a lower level but let's face it, so it Ansu himself apparently. Right now, he's one of the big earners but not delivering anything, I doubt anyone wants to be the guy that's just cashing in. If he truly loves the club, he should be just a burden on the payroll

I would say flick has a savior’s complex, if a player plays bad, you would find him give him another chance in a serious game. Give the player another chance in a less challenging game.
