Ooooh, now. I'm Scottish, and I'll tell you Hamish is a highly rare and unusual specimen, here. There aren't a lot of active god-botherers wandering around and Hamish certainly seems into bothering his god to an unusually high/babbling level. There are certain areas of the country which are more prone to religion than everywhere else (eg. Check out the 'Wee Frees' of the Free Church, off the West Coast) and I've been trying to place his accent, but to no avail. Who are you, Hamish? Fard'ye hail fae? I need to know, for our records.😏

Being able to analyze a given situation is all you need for "morality" - which is just a word we made up btw - and if you are unable to make a decision on something being good or bad without a BOOK telling you, then you are the one with the problem not me. It is illogical to do something to another member of your species that you would not want done to you, it's a simple as that, ie you would not kill and eat another person, but if a Tiger ate me, well, that makes sense, because it's a Tiger, and does not have the same logical processes we do. It's asinine they keep bringing this up like it's a gotcha moment. Hamish call ins are basically trolling at this stage.

All human beings need morality, Hamish. The answer to the question of why (as well as what is morality) are crucial to an objective understanding of morality. You conclude that atheist don't need morality because you think that the purpose of morality is to please an invisible, magic being. I think the purpose of morality (as well as the standard) is life. Specifically it is life and it's requirements which are the objective basis upon which a rational morality is built. Life vs. invisible magic being's whims, which could only be arbitrary given that nothing external is forcing this being to act. I'll base my morality on life, thank you. By the way, Hamish, you are one dishonest person. You have already concluded that the hosts have no basis for morality and then you ask them to tell you what it is so you can compare yours to theirs. Your question is not an honest one. I thought God frowned on bearing false witness.
