I’m so GLAD you guys are back. I’m so sad about all the changes in college football, but you guys are still the same. ❤ I look forward to seeing each one of you thru the season.

There’s a line in Ted Lasso, “Footballers, they’re just like us!” And I think you guys encapsulate that perfectly. Love the banter, as always. Except you Aaron! Haha just kidding you’re definitely Trent Crimm in this scenario haha

Oregon had big plays set up but DG chose to throw short... watch how many times Stewart was open down field. No worries... Ducks had twice the stats on both sides of the ball.

Someone needs to get Joey on Stream East for blacked out games.
@ericwalters342613 күн бұрын
Thats not the situation. Its the Big network not coming to a contractual agreement with Comcast.
@Hov061413 күн бұрын
@@ericwalters3426 I know exactly what the situation is. Just gave him a free (but illegal) way of watching games that are blacked out because Comcast and BTN/Fox Sports can't come to a timely agreement. If he wants to stay on the up and up, he could always go with KZbin TV, Sling, Fubo, or any number of other streamers.

Newman made a great point about the RB's not making YAC. I know Oregon has hugely emphasized tackling for its defense, could the RB's be rusty because they are used to sound tackling in practice and forgot they can break tackles?
@KFBALL24713 күн бұрын
Not sure wtf Fentress is talking about(as per usual), the transfers for the most part were playing really good, especially on defense. The O line doesn’t have transfers, RB room doesn’t have transfers. DG didn’t play too bad. Harmon was a beast on D line, Caldwell played good, Brandon Johnson played great and got an INT, same with Niko Reed. I thought the O line was the biggest problem by far, including the TEs, saw them completely whiff on multiple blocks just like the rest of the O lineman. So I don’t think the problem is the transfers that got paid and “their egos”. It’s the O line. We’ll see if it gets fixed. If not, it’s going to be a long season. Should have hit the portal way harder for depth across the O line.

I'm not sure why Newman left Fentress off the hook @6:00. Of course Oregon should have been able to leverage their far superior athleticism. But for this time of year I think Idaho probably executed better on defense than just about any B1G team last weekend. I think that is the point Newman was making. Power conference teams do not necessarily have any superiority over FCS teams when it comes to playing good fundamental football.

Ive been worried about o-line depth the last 2 cycles. While they have recruited 15 D-line guys and like 10 recievers. And after watching this game i have major concerns about it. Idaho did a great job at exploiting the lines weaknesses. And would it kill Stein to call a few option, or miss direction plays, or even some screen passes. Those things slow down the backers and help open things up. Stein has gotten incredibly predictable in short yardage and the red zone. All idaho did on defense was copy washingtons defefensive game plan from last year.
@CeanStrauss12 күн бұрын
To be fair, Oregon didn't even open their playbook. Stein's play calling and scheme should be fine as the season progresses. O-line play was abysmal though. Hopefully we'll see substantial improvements this week. Otherwise this year could be embarrassing. Go Ducks!

I had the same feeling after this game that I had after that 49-3 shellacking vs Georgia in week one of 2022. How does Oregon look this mediocre in a game they had all spring and summer to prepare for?

The Duck’s RBs aren’t good enough to win 10 games this year much less a championship. They look weak at Safety also. Their in-house media hype is detrimental to getting the job done on the field.

If the right side of the line even played mediocre it's likely 30-something to single digits, and the game's complexion is more palatable. A bigger question I have is if this game wasn't a one-off then did the program become over-reliant on portal and NIL and susceptible to issues like FSU is having.
