Against a bear front I would personally cross block it by having the tackle block down on the defensive tackle and guard kicking the 5 technique. Now if the defensive tackle is a 3 technique outside shade of the guard you can also widen the tackle's alignment to create more of a gap naturally and force the defensive end to widen to make the kick out block easier for the guard.

The "belly" is essentially an old school "iso" scheme play but instead of always being big on big it utilizes the angles to create easier blocks for smaller linemen with still the downhill iso style of play.
