Guys when you come over don't get hung up on London, though Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge, Nelsons Column, Picadilli, and Covent Garden, Buckongham Palace, and your pick of museums, but after a few days escape and see more.

The Bland Food thing comes from WWII.. During the war, the bulk of the good meat, cereals and potatoes was sent to the troops, so the people in the country lived on basic vegetables and cheap cuts of meat. All the Americans stationed in the UK prior to the land invasion therefore were fed the most basic of foods so when they returned they had stories of how terrible the food was. 90 years on, that perception has kinda stuck

If you want to see a good castle goto Bamburgh Castle and also Lindisfarne Castle nearby, but you can only get there when the tide is out.

@@Temeraire101 Absolutely! I have some superb photos, especially of the Abbey. My ex is from Northumberland, and we went all over back in the day. We drove for 3 hours once just to get far north enough to buy stotties (Richmond, if you're interested)

If there are any places you particularly want to visit, check out if there are any deals beforehand as it might save you a few bucks (quid as we say over here). The main thing is just to enjoy and immerse yourself into the culture. I am sure having people you already know from the UK will help you.

The US conception of 'bland' British food is largely a legacy of returning GI's in the late 40s, following the second world war. At the time, with the UK still ravished by the consequences of conflict, the UK was under strict rationing, meaning the food available was largely controlled, seasonal and (it has to be said); bland. With the success of immigration post war, the UK embraced Caribbean and Asian flavours, so it is fair to say that we have the advantages of international cuisine.

From Mark’s baseball answer, you don’t seem like a sporting bunch but a massive part of English culture is Football. Would be good for you guys to experience the atmosphere of a stadium. The rougher the better like Millwall FC. I can guarantee you Don’t have anything like that in the states. Or a high profile boxing event.

I’d love to see you split into 2 teams and compete each other on a road trip, to navigate from Landsend to John O Groats, seeing which team can get there fastest whilst trying the most interesting local foods & drinks you can, seeing the most interesting sites, and having the most fun experiences. I think that would be cool. Another suggestion is that you try making Chicken Tikka Masala, it’s the U.K. favourite national dish……spicy too 🥵😋

Don't forget Cymru🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Wales, especially up north is a place to visit. Plenty of castles not far from each other. Conwy and Caernarfon are great examples of castles. Croeso cynes ar gael. Warm welcome always 👍

If you want to see a castle, go to dover 🏰, I see it pretty much every week. Take it for granted, but took some Canadian friends there once and they were blown away. If my work schedule allows I'll take you around

In London if you go visit Borough Food Market which has been around for 1000 years. But get there early, say 10am as it gets VERY busy. And visit a Hotel Chocolat store, loads all around London.

Most of the established pub crawls kinda aim for 10-12 pints in around four or five hours... and our pints are larger than US ones.

Except for the infamous Gloucester Road to The Bayhorse pub crawl which I have never known anyone complete start from the Wellington and have a pint in every pub till you reach the Bay horse!

Base yourself centrally.. 10 mile diameter from Birmingham .. London 1.5 hours by train , Manchester the same .. and Taylor Brum (Birmingham) the home of Cadbury, and, CADBURY WORLD ….. with a massive chocolate shop … and also .. pre-book everything ..a lot cheaper, and look for discount codes .. As for castles .. Warwick and Kenilworth Castle . In that area ..

Air BnB is massive in the uk. A good way to book an apartment/house to stay in. I wouldn’t recommend hotels as you will be eating out most the time. You can do hotels on a budget. Look at Premier Inn or Travelodge

Sorry i am late to the party. Youngest son had plumbing emergency when fittimg new bathroom and had to amke a dash up to bristol from devon to sort him out 😁 which made me look and no one apart from bristol has suggested the southwest ie devon/ cornwall to visit. Maybe the uk are trying to keep us secret so they can keep buying up houses for holiday homes themselves? We have Tintagel ruined castle( expensive) three moors ( dartmoor, exmoor and bodmin, all with fabulous walks and scenery. Breathtaking scenery a d coastline eg the famous southwest coast path but wear proper walking shoes. Idylli villages and coastal villages. Iconic st ives in cornwall and I could go on. Home of the cornish pasty and the cream tea xx Oh dont be surprised if your toast goes instantly soggy when you have beans on toast. I always let my toast go cold before buttering it so this is less of a problem p,us the butter then melts into the beans not the toast ❤

Some of the Hotels are great quality and very cheap, Bristols have room for four people, look for Ibis budget, premier inn, travel lodge or just find an AirBnb not in the centre

Too many Americans spend far too long in London. By all means, spend four or five days experiencing the sights of our capital but then, get out and experience the REAL UK. The Lake District, Scottish Highlands, Snowdonia, Yorkshire Dales etc. As for towns and cities, include York, Chester, Edinburgh, Whitby (best fish and chips) Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester. Far too many to mention and all seeped in history. BUT, do not, that's NOT, forget to visit local pubs and sample the food (better than anything London can offer)

Basically you can’t move over here without tripping over a castle 😂. (OK that’s an exaggeration but there are a shit ton of them). Personally I love Eilean Donan castle in Scotland. It’s an absolute fairy tale of a setting. But it’s a long way to travel. Scotland deserves a whole trip series of its own. And you absolutely can vlog in supermarkets here. There are many KZbinrs who make a living from doing just that. Mushy peas recipes vary, but the basic is green peas, butter or cream, fresh mint and plenty of black pepper and some salt. 10 days is the minimum to aim for, money permitting. As you rightly say 2 of those days will be eaten up by travel. As for pranks, I would be wary. You’re far more likely to get a smack than arrested though 😂. Finding a policeman who’s willing to attend any crime that’s not a terrorist attack or a mass murder is like looking for hen’s teeth. Even with limited time available to you, try and get out of London for a couple of days. If you only have time for one other location, I’d highly recommend getting on the train from Kings Cross to York. It’s only a couple of hours away and it’s quintessentially British. It’s a walled city, has a castle (albeit mostly ruins), medieval buildings and a Minster (basically a cathedral) which is jaw droppingly beautiful. Also a great food and pub scene. If you’re interested in seeing a beautifully preserved aristocratic stately home, then Castle Howard is only a hop skip and jump up the road too. Anyway, best of luck guys. Heya. Are you going to hire a car over here. If so manuals are cheaper I believe but you need to get hold of the highway code. Most signs are symbols, plus the road markings. U probably need to recognise and understand about 80.

If you guys like "Escape rooms", then when you come over here, why not try a "Rob the bank" Escape room? There are a few around, but you will have to Google them, as if I include a link here, my comment gets deleted automatically. They encourage players to go "dressed for the part", as robbers, and that can include ski masks or nylon masks LOL If you can get their permission to film there, it would be a great thing to put on your channel - something different!?!? 🙂

I think the fact your already american.....then playing pranks on brits won't go down well (Americans are stereotyped as being obnoxious). I don't think 10 days will be enough to even do the South Coast of the UK as there are so many different cultures in every county. Another American KZbinr had sore feet and sore legs when he came over for 2 weeks. Our beer is much stronger than yours too so beware if you do go on a pub crawl.
