Talking About FNAF - How DOES Afton Come Back?

In a previous video I talked about my personal headcanons about Afton, Glitchtrap, and why I felt he kept "coming back".
Well, here's the video to explain those headcanons, and a little bit more besides!

To me: Springtrap embodies the beauty of early fnaf’s psychological horror (such as with the springlock suits and being trapped in them) Scraptrap represents the shift towards more sci di elements (with william being attracted to the concept of immortality with remnant) And the mimick is current fnaf’s obsession with bringing back old elements (such as dear old afton who didn’t have to come back after the second fire)

This is a really interesting hypothesis! I’ve always loved the slasher element of Springtrap, this only makes it cooler by adding the cursed element to it.

Just that one line made me think he's somehow COMPELLED to seek out things to kill, so it'd make sense that he was cursed to forever do that and never be satisfied so he can't move on. Like... eternal torture... but short-sighted on Charlie's part. :x

I know you said you wouldn't rely on anything the books say but I exclusively tend to think of it how it's described in one of them. That like water conducts electricity, "metal conducts Remnant" and given the definition of the word I'd say Remnant would be the soul or memories or emotions or part of a soul whatever here regardless. So technically it's always involved, but that doesn't rule out the possibility of a curse keeping William's "Remnant" aka soul bound to the mortal coil. Though I like to think the games provide enough evidence that Springtrap/Scraptrap only exists from his springlocking to after FNAF 3 and Pizza Sim exclusively because of only the vengeful spirit. The puppet may have been responsible for the children possessing the main band but that doesn't stop the children from now being able to do anything similar to William. The puppet wasn't present in Follow Me and one child spirit took charge in scaring Afton into the suit and that's probably the vengeful spirit. The lines in UCN of "He tried to release you, he tried to release us. But I'm not going to let that happen I will hold you here i keep you here no matter how many times they burn us" implies that they've probably been present for both fires. And halted both. "No matter how many times" so it's happened twice and they know this, and they know it could be tried many more. And "They" implies at least two people or at least acknowledging anyone else who may try separately, we know Henry did the second fire that's acknowledged at the beginning of the line with the pronoun "he" but "they" is acknowledging both fires and any future ones. So either that's proof Michael did FNAF 3 or it's not and as I said it's just acknowledging there could be plenty of people who will try after Pizza Sim/UCN. I like your theory, the puppet could've done this with a curse, but I also think the vengeful spirit whoever it is could be holding William specifically with their old rage and spirit powers or cursed William and potentially themselves to never pass. (Or I mean Golden Freddy was never really present physically in Pizza Sim unless they're in Molten Freddy somehow so maybe their soul didn't get burned out by the fire) As they are there to carry out or at least watch the torture of UCN. Who knows though. If we should even consider UCN canon smh it's so unclear how things transition from Pizza Sim to Help Wanted through UCN anyway.

Yeah, FNAF lore's a tangled mess. This is why I usually tend to keep book lore separate, to avoid making it worse for myself haha. I just wanted to flesh out and share this theory I've had for a while. It does get a bit looser the later in the timeline we go, but it's one I have fun with. :D

What was Sun and Moons origin story? Why is the sewers full of robot parts? What happened to the indie dev? Why are there big striped wires all over the pizzaplex? These are all answered in the books.

So the reason why mimic is taking a rabbit form is because he’s trying to copy the mascot of SPG .Glitchtrap mimics bonbon in VR 2 and turns himself into a plushy. . UCN takes place at a hospital then William Afton in the books was last seen permanently dying in Stitchwraith Stingers #7. Glitchtrap is chronologically first seen inside a circuit board. William also in order to escape UCN later blows up his corpse(the already means his corpse is not burntraps) .Glitchtrap is said to be "some kind of malicious code" in tape 1. .The Fazbear fright story in the flesh has an AI version of springtrap who is just Matt OC (he thinks he made him, but he likely exist ) become real, and escape the game just by agony . Glitchtrap is influenced by the agony of Jeremy someone who is against him and even tries to cut his own face . The first place we see burntrap he in a recharge station. Mimic in the final epilogue gets deactivated and spring locked leaking oil for a while So that would imply he would need to recharge. .glitch trap instead of using the robotic Spring Bonnie model that William LOVES, uses a mascot costume version of it. Mascot costumes are the costumes Mimic uses. (and no the OG spring Bonnie design doesn’t deconfirm this because the Monty within) William is shown to be attached to the suit. Thanks for the silver eyes, movie, and the frights epilogues where his soul literally has rabbit ears .0rGN is found in a HW teaser about Glitchtrap, 0rGN obviously means origin and it's the head of an endoskeleton. .Glitchtrap in tape 16 copies Tape Girl's voice to trick Vanessa into helping him. .HW2 endings has glitchtrap mimicking the endings of security breach The bad ending is re-creating glamrock Freddy’s death. Glitchtrap disassembles Jeremy. The good ending is re-creating princess quest 3 glitchtrap dies .Glitchtrap doesn't know how to manipulate others, needs google to know wtf he's supposed to do. meanwhile afton is extremely intelligent and already knows that stuff. .Glitchtrap and Afton are shown to be separate things in the AR trailer's glitches. . In Vanny lair there is a fazbear entertainment history book that she is reading. If glitchtrap was Afton why would he need to relearn his own story? .In dawko steel wool interview steel wool states Scott just emailed them to put stuff in the game and didn’t explain it “ I looked at it and said Yep, don’t know what this means” this explains burntrap inconsistent design Scott just messed up by not telling them the story. .Glitchtrap in Princess Quest 1 mimics Blob and it's actions. .Burntrap (who is Glitchtrap) looks like a cheap copy of Springtrap. (Likely his corpse and costume come from agony) .Glitchtrap copies Moon in BBW (balloon boy world) .Mimic in RUIN copies Gregory's voicelines from SB. .Mimic1 is in VANNI. .GGY states that Gregory is good traps, favorite apprentice and mimic has a special Gregory costume he makes(the one in ruins scooper ending). like mimic doesn’t have it he made it using the other parts of the costumes. .We literally need The Security Mask (repurposed Vanny mask or mask based off the Vanny mask) to help Mimic in RUIN. .Mimic is important in the DLC of SB (which is about GLITCHTRAP). .Gregory and Vanessa are shown to have trapped Mimic thanks to Candy Cadet, Gregory's backpack and walkie talkie in Mimic's lair, and Gregory knowing about MImic. Gregory is scared Mimic will follow him and Vanessa, those 2 characters are victims of GLITCHTRAP. There's the same Burntrap clawmark in both Burntrap's Office and Mimic's Lair. Mimic's Lair is right under Burntrap's office. Gregory says M.X.E.S. was meant to keep Mimic hidden, M.X.E.S is RABBIT THEMED (parent nodes have heads of rabbits) and the enitity meant to guard those nodes is based off GLITCHTRAP. In HW2, we see HELPI again. He tells Cassie's dad to collect all 6 Faz-Force toys and gets impatient if you don't do it. At the end after you collect them all, he disappears and Glitchtrap appears, he makes you end up in MaskBot where you give Cassie the Security Mask used to help The Mimic escape the sinkhole. When we return to the hub after the credits end, we see HELPI in a vacation indicating he is somewhere else and all he wanted you to do is collect the toys which made Glitchtrap stronger. In the story, prankster glitchtrap acts exactly like mimic even does the deep voice thing. . William never actually died in his spring Bonnie suit. Andrew kept him alive. In 6 you can hear William heartbeat in ucn meaning that it’s impossible for him to possess any circuit board . Glitchtrap dies in VR 2 confirmed by SW. this means he is not a soul. . Monty within is mimic and he does the exact same thing as glitchtrap. . in tales of the pizza Plex mimic is behind every VR game Under construction Monty within Drowning girl Tiger rock Monty and drowning girl both do digital transfers. Drowning girl turns the protagonist brain dead. . AR spring trap has the exact same run animation as mimic and mimic lines from other characters. “ I’ve living in shadows” Michael “ let’s see how many times you can be pulled apart” nightmare Fredbear “ I’m here to claim what’s left of you” nightmare AR spring trap is not supposed to be there. He’s an added edition by vanny and glitch trap, confirmed the emails In world a character called mimic ball can create a green virtual Freddy. World has a big impact on the main story as a bunch of things come from there Virtual Freddy parallels glitchtrap And mimic ball parallels mimic 2.0 . mimic ball copies Freddy like how mimic 2.0 was meant to copy Freddy Showtime routines . Helpi is mimicking Cassie’s dad and help trap is mimicking the on tour cartoon . In AR code. There’s lines like. “ is that your father” “ I will shut you down forever, just like you’re trying to do me” “ it hurts inside I want you to understand that I want to make you understand that” These lines only makes sense with mimic and Edwin’s relationship and is even backed up in the storytellers when Edwin writes “ I’m sorry” on the walls . Edwin gets PTSD and mention mimic 1 corruption happening again and the only thing it could be referring to AR glitchtrap corrupts the animatronics meaning he’s mimic . glamrock Freddy says “ I found myself for the first time when I cleared the path” mimic glamrock Freddy, his personality, meaning that he’s referring to him and this is backed up by the fact that glamrock Freddy later says “ stop him” meaning that he knows who burntraps/mimic is . glamrock Freddy talks about clearing the path with vanny meaning they were trying to get something mimic is left off in the epilogues inside a jester costume more proof of this is the springlocks on his legs. This means glam rock, Freddy and Vanny We’re getting him and taking him out the suit. . Epilogue mimic literally literally has rabbit ears/antenna and still had them on when he got in the jester costume Glitch trap uses his followers to re-create Fazbear entertainment history there’s a reference to every game in the pizza Plex Fnaf 1: Bonnie Chica Endo (in the blob) Fnaf 2: mangle and puppet (in the blob) Fnaf 3: burntrap (the new spring trap) Fnaf 4: the nightmarebots which is nightmarionne and quite literally say “ in your dreams” also there plushy is everywhere Fnaf SL: baby, Funtime Freddy and the new scooper Fnaf 6: the blob who is basically the new version of molten Freddy. Also the wet floor signs who are the upgraded version of rasc Fnaf UCN: Monty (because Andrew) Fnaf vr: vanny if you look closely Vanny design is based off the mascot for and there areas from the game are in real life Glitchtrap doing this line with the mimics core program, which is stated to be “ a simple template software that takes previous stories and rearranges them into new scenarios for VR, AR, an arcade games”

​@@Sonicmidyou forgot that the Spring Bonnie poster is of the Mimics inspiration for Glitchtrap. It's a cartoony spring Bonnie with big buck teeth, eyelashes, and purple eyes. Mimic1 saw that and combined it with the Circus Mascot suits he wore back in the 70s-80s

Thats the neat part: he doesnt. Glitchtrap is proven to be Mimic1 in Help Wanted 2 by the Helptrap ending. Helptrap has Helpi trick us into gattering the parts to release 'burntrap" with Glitchtrap leaving his charging station. The game ends with our player giving Cassie the Vanni mask. So, why would william afton take on the form of Helpi (a character he is never associated with) alongside helping the mimic escape? Also, if Glitchtrap is William, PQ4 is the most unsatisfying william death yet. He isnt done in by Henry or Charlie or the One or anything. Hes done in by a total rando he just manipulated. Like...thats the lamest afton death. Period.
