I started collecting Bubinga kits right before CITES. They really sound incredible!!! The older MIJ's are heavier, better quality Bubinga, but the new ones still sound better than anything else I've ever played.

@SomeoneWitSkill you should look at a birch bubinga.. thats what i got and its amazing.. great deep tone with the bubinga and then you got the lowered sustain from the birch.. its beautiful

Bubinga drum kit is amazing!! If anyone knows the depth of the 18" bass drum on the jazz kit, could you please let me know?
@masterdrummer19
@masterdrummer19 14 жыл бұрын
@SomeoneWitSkill well bubinga is pretty much the deepest wood out there, its just that its very veristle, so its good with highs too... same with birch actually. but yeah bubinga by it self has a lot of sustain so the birch helps with less. thats my kit, but im still gonna get a maple cuz its so classic and a must have

@hjalmar97 your thinking of the titanium one.. aluminum is much less.. that one is prolly in the range of $250-400. depends cuz itts the new starphonic.. look at other tama snares and they will be less

Simply put. If you want the best sounding drums that money can buy you, then there is only one real choice. TAMA STARCLASSIC BUBINGA. You know it makes good sense.

The jazz kit Adam plays at the end of this video, the Bubinga Cordia, is that a 9x12 tom? It looks like 9x12, not 8x12.
@philsown
@philsown 9 жыл бұрын
Looks like a 12" to me. Remember that the kick is only 18 so that might be making the tom look bigger.

i dont kno why but im not too big of a fan on bubinga, i play metal so like the deep sounding, and i would rather spend way less on a deeper sounding kit.

On behalf of the majority of the drum community, we would like to disagree (: His licks fit perfectly and his groove burn inside the music. He brings back that vintage funk vibe that was lost when the chops started growing.

i don't like when someone talks for a drum company like it's his girlfriend.offcourse someone would say "hey dude they just pay him,that's all" and he would be totally right,i just think sometimes that i would probably have a hard time if I had to do this.
