Yes he’s still human. He’s pron to making mistakes. Just because he does know every fighting style known to man. Doesn’t mean there isn’t someone better. Some people ok this planet are natural fighters who don’t need training to fight. It’s true, as a person who has been in martial arts. There is always someone better. However Batman’s greatest weapon and skill is his stealth and gadgets. Without those he be dead. And he knows it. He even admits going head on is suicide. Batman’s greatest weakness is not being prepared. If Batman comes across someone he doesn’t know how to beat. He’s likely to lose. I’m not pointing these out as bad. But it’s good to know he does have character flaws.

Adrian Veidt is extremely smart, but he doesn't have a vast amount of knowledge in so many different fields. The point is that DC made Batman human, yet gave him so many abilities that normal humans can't achieve in his given amount of time (10 years) and even boost his power over time. He is human, he can't see the future. There's a difference between backup plans and smart ass plans that are always effective, yet batman always seems to be steps ahead of his opponents

Kid Flash I don't think Batman is supposed to be realistic. The Christopher Nolan movies influenced people into thinking that Batman should be as realistic as possible. In The Dark Knight Trilogy Lucious Fox is the ingenious behind the Batman and that is bad but at least it makes the protagonist more relatable. In the comics, the Bat isn't the scientifically ignorant dummie that he was in the movies though even there Lucious Fox provides him with most of his tech and that has to change. I know that Nolan had to glorify Fox because Morgan Freeman is amazing but come on, he isn't the main character. But he should not be realistic at all. That was just Nolan's version. He is a superior human being both mentally and physically(although nowhere near Stark's Mary Sue level), is able to perform feats most, if not all high-class athletes could only dream of, is a brilliant tactician and strategist, he founded The Justice League and is a vital asset of the team, is greatly respected by all the members, is a proficient scientist and the best detective of all time and his IQ surpasses 200 points. Just because Iron Idiot is the most intelligent being to ever exist in comic books doesn't mean there can't be others extremely smart as well. And saying that you are more forgiving to Tony because his brain is his superpower gimmick is a ridiculous excuse which proves that you are a Marvel fanboy and I have the right to call you so.

I'm going to say this here and now BATMAN IS NOT HUMAN. The writers pretty much gave him superpowers ( but to a way lesser degree) and just said " and you know what! He doesn't even have powers" just to make him a little more interesting. Yes all those learning all those skills in just 10 years is not very believable but some representations of Batman are more realistic such as the Nolan trilogy. In those movies he is very smart and skilled in combat but he’s not what I would consider a genius and his fighting skills are good but he doesn’t beat everyone up so easily (Bane for example) he just has a lot of resources and a desire to save Gotham. Exactly this. I have always looked at these heroes from an outside perspective. Before I got into comics I always kept on hearing people say that batman is crap, unrealistic, overpowered, that he has the most annoying fan-base and is far more unbelievable then any hero. However once I got into comics I have to say that these criticisms are false. He really isn't anymore fantastic or unrealistic then the other DC characters and to be honest I never encountered any especially rabid fanboys. Maybe this was different during the 2000s or 90s but I see far more people shitting on him then say he can beat anybody with prep.

@Darth Maul Almost all the other heroes have sidekicks and train children. I know it is stupid but saying that batman is the only one who does it is ignorant of every other superhero. Hell even superman has done it. Also he never forced any of the robins. It was actually the exact opposite with the robins wanting to be trained to become a hero. And they always show in elseworlds that the robins lives would have been worse if Bruce didn't train them. Unrealistic, yes but wonder woman, flash, superman, aquaman, green arrow, captain america, spiderman, wolverine, xavier have trained kids to become heroes. So i guess they are unrealistic and dumb (which they are becuase that is the nature of all superheroes). And lastly what batman can accomplish in comics can be replicated by normal people in comics. Mister terrific is smarter, lady shiva is a better fighter, deathstroke is a better planner and fighter and lex luthor can defeat gods. Batman being powerless doesn't make him unrealistic in a setting where powerless people can do impossible things.

Can also say he copies Bozo the Iron man which was quality comics character in 1940 or Heimlien Star ship trooper. Flash and Quicksilver both copy Hermes and Mercury from Greek and Roman mythology. Flash also copies Flash Gordon that traveled Faster than the speed of light in a space ship in 1934 comic striped and had Hawkmen in stories as Flash didn't appear until 1940 and had Hawkman in the same comic

I don't believe that he's arguing it's realistic, I think he's making the point that it's more realistic. I'll put it this way, in the comic book world certain events are just established as possible, like someone getting bit by a radioactive spider and getting super powers; you're just kind of expected to buy it. But when a character who's written as a normal human, achieves all these impossible feats, without any super powers, you should kinda start to question how that works; since he is just a normal person after all, now if he was written as someone with super powers, it would be more acceptable, for me anyways.
