I agree about them dinging you for honesty. Would eBay rather us send the buyer ruined items? Just makes no sense. They should at least have those drop off faster. So people who do it constantly get dinged but if it only happens once every 40 items or something it's obviously just part of life.

USPS worker burden? They should love you like they do when I come in because I have prepaid labels and know my stuff. They deal with a ton of confused people everyday! They even have asked me to discuss shipping options with confused customers:) But yes, you are correct....if the postal employees know you, they should not give you grief! They should look to you (as mine did) as a helpful resource.....free and unpaid :( But its fun and a pleasure to help others...but I really doubt the others will keep the shipping knowledge because they are occasional sellers. 14:23 Reminds me of the poster art book I sold for $150ish. Crazy thing wasn’t that I paid maybe a buck for it. Rather I found it sitting in the Goodwill surplus bin, in plain sight, and in perfect condition. Somehow the guys who scoop up all the books missed it. 30:48 Yes. Technically an ISBN 13 ... because it has 13 digits. They all start with 978. You can guess how long the older ISBN10 is. Sometimes its final digit is an X (ISBN13 is all numeric.)

I was told by my local post office that if I leave packages, they won’t be scanned until they reach their next location. After that, I wait in line.

Due to loss I get each item scanned with a receipt. That’s how it is now in PA

In Brazil there is no "leave packages". You have to stand in line. I am lucky that I have a post office nearby where they allow me to go in with my dog. So I can take the dog for a walk, deliver my packages and try and fit in any other errands that are dog friendly. The "leave on the porch" idea kinda freaks me out - nothing would last 5 minutes outside before being stolen.

LOL "No kids. I enjoy my free time and disposable income" And you sleep. LOL We waited 10 years into our marriage to start our family. Mostly to get my husband's education completed and get a home purchased - all the ducks lined up. You'll know when it's a good idea. It's super permanent. And great. But yea. LOL Yes, kids are sorta the biggest bait and switch there can be. The "aww, that's sweet" and then - you aren't sleeping for months and they throw up over your shoulder & down your back (yes, that happened). But they are the toughest job you'll ever love. When you are ready, I highly recommend it.

I had to cancel an item before for a gamecube game. I was getting ready to put it into a case to ship it and I dropped it. it landed just right and chipped a piece off of the disc. I message the seller told him what was going on and apologized. He gave me bad feedback. I was so mad lol. I was gonna message him and ask if he preferred if I just didn't say anything and shipped him a broken game but I figured I should just accept it and move on lol.

Why would you use Pirate Ship when Ebay gives such huge discounts on shipping? Does Pirate match?

Pirate ship give commercial rates, same as eBay. If you're a top rated seller you may get another slight discount from ebay but it isnt very significant. I only use pirate ship for items that I need to use pirate ship for. Small, heavy stuff

hey hairy...whats up!!! anyway, i prefer to make sure everything i sell is nice and clean especially during this time of crisis...everything to me is about cleanliness and presentation of everything i sell...taking my time to do this means i care about the cleanliness and presentation of what my buyers buy from me...its called passion. when i used to go garage sale hunting (i dont do that now bcuz i have a great source for free items), i used to get turned off at the dirty items being sold...i bought them but i was turned off. yes, time is money, but something so small that takes a couple of minutes or less to wipe down does not make or break profits. its just me, my attention to detail may differ from you and all of your subscribers.
