Man listening to guys like Charleston and Curtis chop it up makes me want to iron some of the deficiencies in my character. Being in the presence of Men with high integrity is infectious and makes you ashamed of not being on your square. Salute to the elders theres a lot of wisdom in this broadcast.

This was a much needed conversation.....The arrest record info is on point... I was convicted of welfare fraud....I am a single mother of two adult son's now. My fiance at the time was murdered two weeks after Baby Lane in Compton up the street from the same place Lane was killed...I had a 3yr old and newborn, the state wouldn't give me survivors benefits due to my child's father not having ever paid into taxes. He was barely 21 at the time of his death. I have always kept a job to support my children. The State was giving me $246 a month and $202 in food stamps..The cost of living in Los Angeles County is overly expensive...My paycheck from work including the welfare couple dollars I still needed to also hustle. Although I paid taxes my parents and siblings paid taxes, I still was commiting a crime.... Here's the twist, the DA told me I wasn't getting convicted for getting the money but that I was being convicted for lying on government documents stating I didn't receive any other money from anywhere but them...The saddest part about situations about mine, is the statement being made to me by the government...Which was sit your a** at home have more babies that I can't properly support and keep my hand out to beg from them and I would've been in the right....Now that's some shiiiat...For those of us who wanted to give our children the best opportunity we could buy having the means to take them and show other things outside of their 10 block radius as my parents did for myself and my brothers...I would love to be on a episode to speak on my experience.... I'm originally from Compton California, 47 and now living Arkansas in a very small town of less than 7,000 population....I see life from a totally different perspective today...

On one hand, the host correctly said that politics cannot correct cultural deficiency. On the other, he said that Malcolm X did nothing but talk, yet he’s perhaps the greatest Black cultural icon for self reformation. He needs to rethink that. Regarding Jeremiah Shabazz calling Malcolm X lazy, that was his sectarian bias. Malcolm X founded the Muhammad Speaks newspaper and built the Fruit of Islam. I have deceased family and mentors who were there for the whole era, and I have seen the receipts. This is sensitive history that should not be so loosely discussed on such platforms.

There was black peole way greater than malcom. Malcom was a great speaker like MLK Farrakhan and the rest. But Alice H Parker the reason we have heat in our homes. Marie van brown is why we have home security Systems but we don’t champion our inventors and builders we only champion the great speakers. But talk is cheap. George Washington carver discovered a science that America had been using for over 100 years.

Farrakhan can't do shit about what's going on in Chicago? You just spoke on cultural deficiencies... you know how difficult it is to remedy a cultural deficiency? Do you recognize how deep the deficiency is in Chicago? You know what can't be denied... FARRAKHANS IMPACT ON NEW YORK CITY AND HIPHOP IN GENERAL. Let's put wider perspective on the Ministers work and stop disrespecting the work that has been done up to this point. A PEOPLE'S CULTURE DON'T CHANGE UNTIL THEY CHANGE WHAT THEY WORSHIP AND THAT DONT CHANGE UNTIL THEY CHANGE WHAT THEY LOVE AND THAT DON'T CHANGE UNTIL THERE IS A CHANGE OF HEART. You ever done heart surgery bruh?

He only says that becuz we only champion the malcom x mLks of the world and not black inventors. Nobody know Alice H Parker but she’s the reason we have central heat in our homes, Marie van brown is why we have alarm systems, Ellen Elgin created the washer machine. Georg Washington carver made over 1 thousand products from a peanut cell. But we don’t champion those people becuz we too caught up on the people that give good lectures. We need more inventors not anymore leaders
