We have water moccasins up here in Indiana. As well as Eastern rattlesnakes and copperheads. I've never been bitten but I moved a rock out of the yard and a nest of Copperheads were underneath it. I put down real quick and left the area for awhile, for sure! Good job today. Later.

@@kevingamble8861 thanks Kevin, yes I’m no fan of poisonous snakes! I’ll leave the non poisonous ones alone

I am completely solo, I had four days with 1500 last week. Mostly fert and squirt. My solo average is up around 200 a hour. I mow a little bit in the afternoon fert in the morning I do not cut wet grass.
@CBeason2 ай бұрын
@@JohnnyMow that’s good Johnny! Are you primarily doing treatments/fertilization now? Yes really good $ in treatment/fertilization side of things
@JohnnyMow2 ай бұрын
@@CBeason yes I treat lawns in the morning and mow in the afternoon but by the time I get to mowing I’ve generally treated 1000. 7:30-11:30 12-4 are the hours I kinda try to get sometimes I work till 6 tho.

@@JohnnyMow that’s good , yeah man I’ve thought if I decide to go primarily solo one day I’ll focus more on that side of business.. I’ve been listening to some of your old videos. I’ve enjoyed listening btw

@@CBeason thank you I’m thinking on coming back on KZbin. Watching some of these channels give horrible advice and knowing they are absolutely dead broke talk as if they are living it up. I feel bad for the young guy coming up and trying to get good advice from KZbin. There used to be so many guys giving good advice.

I would have figured it at 18 man hours since it’s 2 men. I try to shoot for $150 per man per hour for mowing, a tad less for bush trimming.
@CBeason2 ай бұрын
Hey Russell, not sure that possible in my area $300/hour for 2 guys? Mowing? I definitely can’t do that consistently throughout the day maybe on occasion spraying/fertilizing but not mowing

@@CBeason oops yea that’s not right…..I just got back from killing some yellow jackets that Terminex was not able to do in one of my customers yard and my brain is fried from the humidity so I’m not thinking right my figures.🫤. I got to get that good night sleep.

I would also calculate that at 18 man hours, therefore, the man hour rate would be $75. In my market, that would be pretty good, back in Tampa, that would be below average. It all depends on market and overhead.
@CBeason2 ай бұрын
@@Hillsidelanscapemanagement yes I agree Hillside! A lot of factors determine rate for sure! I feel good about being around $75 though!

I initially wanted the bigger HP lazer Z We got the 801v so it’s 25.5 I believe. It’s fine but I’d like more in thick wet grass or really hilly yards. But sounds like yours drinks gas lol. I’m gonna start watching the gas in ours and see how long.
@CBeason2 ай бұрын
@@Southernlawncare yeah man it does burn gas but makes up for it in efficiency. No double cuts today and grass was super thick and damp. My others with 801v id have to double cut a lot of those areas I think you would like the bigger engine overall. I do!

@@StevenDecker-mq8te thanks Steven, yeah that was honestly my thought as well. My point was no way these guys are doing all this work for them .. I was told they were letting 1 company handle their projects. Hard time believing they were handling all of it .. that was my point..

Up here in middle TN we have em, but I’ve seen more rattlers than anything. We had locusts this year, so I’ve heard because of that there’s more rattlers feeding on them. Thank god the only time I seen the rattlers I was on zero turn or had weed eater in my hand. Echo 2620 will hold its own against one. 😂😂

@@BENNHENDRICKS33 those rattle snakes scare me to death.. I have never ran across one thankfully but they are in my area. Mainly timber rattlers I believe definitely don’t want to run across them. I believe copperheads like the locusts as well

I didn’t see anything offensive you said about their setup. I know you felt you were lied to because of this big company that was going to take over that section. They didn’t look like a big company to me but they had a nice setup of a covered trailer and at least one riding lawnmower. I operate from my truck with ramps to load my lawnmower. I choose not to have a trailer even though my son in-law was giving me one. Since I am doing this for only 2-3 years I wanted to stay simple. I work on yards that will work with my setup.
