Talking to the Enemy Team is *Amazing* | Foxhole Shenanigans

Cross faction voice chat was such an integral part of the game, I'm glad they brought it back. Been having some fun psychologically tormenting Colonials over the last few days. Story time. A friend conscripted the rest of us into Foxhole just before Christmas 2020, it's War 67. Wardens full, so we went Colonial. Wardens getting hammered by this point. Get an APC, go to Farranac coast, find Collies running the other way screaming about tanks and blueberries. Accidentally stumble into a combined arms operation with several tanks and a dozen infantry. Gunner is killed, commander is wounded. Gunner forgot to set spawn, he's back in Heartlands, and it's getting late. Commander and I (driver) decide to kamikaze and try to take out as many as we can. Charge the tanks, commander killed in a couple of seconds, APC disabled before we even get to the infantry so I can't even run em over. Hear the enemy voice comms. The Warden officer who's herding the infantry, a young woman, tells the infantry to not destroy the APC but to get gas, but someone's already thrown another sticky and the APC is about to explode. I jump out, press the surrender emote immediately, and I'm surrounded. Next seconds, Wardens confused what to do with me, one of them shoots and downs me, but then their medic runs out and shields me from being killed, tells them not to shoot, and takes me back to a nearby trench. He heals me, and we talk for a couple of minutes, not as enemies, but as two civilised people with a common interest in a game. Then a tank runs over the trench and kills us both. Favourite Foxhole memory right there, all because of cross faction voice chat.

Me, as a colonial this war, hearing about your psychological torment: ):< That last part sounds about right though. Sounds like a clip I couldn't fit in here - I walked into a warden TH, they just took it so they had no defenses. 8 wardens just looked at me so I put away my gun and we had a nice conversation with some mild interrogation (no, I won't talk hahaha) until they started accidentally killing each other, it was so funny hahaha

@@BlueLaminate I'll tell you my line of psychological torment. Me: Hey Greeny! You know why we call you Goblins? Colonial prisoner: No, why? Me: Because you're all Goblin on deez nuts! Instant psychological damage! I've had one Goblin howling in pained laughter, another wounded Goblin pressed E to force respawn (effectively died of cringe).

I love to see a member of my regiment just steal away one of you collies at the end LOL. Also, when you cut to the bridge near the one minute mark, the scream "BROODING!" was be getting blown to smitherines just over the bridge. Oh how I love this game and its VC, I really should play it more.

You can't turn it off, you can only mute the other team (but they can still hear you in local, which leads to some... fun)
