A funky bass riff written by a rock drummer on a piano and played on a fretless by a guy who started as a thrash/death metal bassist and dressed as Swiss Miss on stage. That's how special Mr. Bungle was.
@kultur-vultur9 ай бұрын
Its surprisingly easy on piano too.

Oh shit... that's right. Heifitz wrote that. Forgot. Feel less inferior remembering it at least took 2 Bunglers to create this sublime groove. 😅 Best part of song, the way all the elements came together.

This beastly bassist called Trevor, Whose basslines I thought I would never Master completely (but) Mark broke it down neatly However, they're quite the endeavor I think it's relly cool you feature basslines like this one or Fishbone or Primus, all stuff I grew up with learning the bass. Could you do a video on "Go Away" by Living Colour's Doug Wimbish? He has some amazing chops and crafted some of the heaviest funky basslines in metal.

@neilpatrickhairless10 ай бұрын
Yeah the "comeback lineup" was only really put together to redo the demo stuff that was death/thrash metal. Dave Lombardo is killer as well, but people only know him from Slayer, who like my Grandma's vacuum cleaner has been around since the 80's and sucked this entire time
