Citroen’s promise of an affordable small car for India is now materialised in the form of the C3 and we got out hands on one, a month before its official launch.
It is the stark opposite of the luxurious C5 AirCross we have experienced and liked. It is built to a a price and loses some of the essential features we have come to expect in modern cars, but from underneath it all the Citroen DNA shines through. The engine and chassis are great and the ride quality is exemplary for its segment. But are all that enough to sway buyers over to this? Watch this review to find out.

Composition doesn't means load of gadgets and electronic it means safe comfort enjoyable and fuel efficient...comparing with others in the segment won't give all these things together

Having the pleasure of creature comforts such as not having to adjust the a/c blow every now and then, or not having to do gymnastics from the drivers seat just to adjust the left side ORVM, are all part of it.

Citroen as a Brand I would consider simply cause of the guarantee towards comfort, But the C3 Feature misses are a bit on the high side. Electronic ORVM adjustment, Adjustable headrest and a rear defogger should have been available. Given the feature list, it would truly depend on the accessory list to see how we can add the required features and the price at the end. In its basic config i wouldnt pay more than 5 lacs

Meter console is the #01 wrong they did. That looks so cheap. And C3 was expected to deliver that well known Citroën comfort which was not talked much about in this video. I think c3 miss that too.

Instrument console is a sore. They removed the speedo and tacho, instead kept the MID as Instrument console🤣. That too in a negative LCD. its 2022, age of connected smart techs.

Lack of rear defogger, rear wash wiper and "too basic" instrument cluster felt as a let down.... They could have provided it even in a neat way... If the IRVM with dim n bright feature comes as an accessory, everybody should buy it.... Thanks for such a detailed first drive experience 👍

In my opinion, it is good to place other Equipments as Accessories. Most of the people in India are not able to spend 8-10 lakhs for a car. Without Accessories if they could buy within 5-6 lakhs, it will be a great move. For such people whenever they get money on later stage can add these electronic Accessories. One thing I noticed it's mileage.it is 22 in highway. It is good. What about Steering Autoreturn feature. Is it there? Last day I drove Maruthi Spresso. It doesn't have steering auto return. Why Maruti avoid this feature in all budget cars. It looses the driving fun.

When the C5 came, at first it was shocking considering in the first review u said it would placed with harrier-compass segment.. When the price announced it was even shocking... C5 shocked in good way first and then we all know😂 C3 shocking the other way in the first review itself.. hopefully pricing would be sensible.. Anyways kudos to you guys.. Citroen നെ തൃപ്തിപ്പെടുത്താൻ വേണ്ടി ചിലർ ചെയ്യുന്നതുപോലെ ഒരു മോശം കാറ് നല്ലതാണെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞില്ല..

They could have given an analog meter instead. The wiper can be retrofitted, tweeters can be.. but meter can't be.

ഈ C3 ഹിറ്റ്‌ ആകണമെങ്കിൽ ഇതിന്റെ വില 4 - 5.5 lakh ൽ വരണം. ഇതിന്റെ top end model ൽ പോലും മറ്റു കാറിന്റെ ബേസിക് മോഡലിൽ ഉള്ള പല features ഉം ഇല്ല.

I would definitely consider this as an option if I’m going for a car in this segment given its fun to drive element and comfort which in my opinion is what matters when you drive. The miss in features if can be somehow added on later, that is an ok option for me. But misses like no dimmer for rear view mirror and no tachometer seems like a strange omission

Yes I would buy it. It’s a no nonsense just a comfortable drive car. I feel the more techno a car becomes the faster it feels outdated. This is simple and basic . Pricing is crucial 5-7 would be sweet spot.

Soo true. All I want is a big engine with a turbo. Even even though it's a 3 cylinder I would still considered it worth buying. 110 bhp and less weight. Heck even in they remove the ac and reduce the price I am still happy. If I am right this thing is more powerful than a brezza

Good fuel efficiency Good ride comfort Good boot space Good engine and transmission Quality Interior If priced right, this could be a hit. Taco meter is an issue for auto enthusiasts only I guess.

I think the review should've given bit more focus on the engine side, as it has performance on par with 1.0 TSi, at least on paper.

Indian masses aren't much concerned about performance. If so the cars like Tiago, Altroz, Punch, Triber, previous gen i20 petrol, Jazz, amaze etc won't be hit. Car should be adequately powered. Not too underpowered. If performance is the major criteria then cars like JTP twins, baleno RS etc would have been superhits.

Usually, New car reviews kaaanunna pala channelsintem preshnm for me,ith kand kazhinjit decide aakan patilla if the car is good or not, not mentioning anyone "ivide oru chrome surround und, this area piano Black aan" oke aan review motham.. as u said all these doesn't matter atleast for a lot a people.. coming to the car,orupaad expect chythu.. sad

Definitely a buying option for an Indian crowd to experience the European within our budget and the engineering feel keeping the other gimmicks aside( few things could have been added like automatic).

It is very disappointing to see that the CITRON company didn't come up with an automatic version of C3. Didn't they have brains ? Had there been an automatic version with the Turbo priced between 10-12 lakhs, then it would have filled the vacuum that VW POLO had created. I am amused that the CITRON has missed that golden chance ! There is no USP for C3, and nobody is gonna buy a manual car without any USP from a newly launched company.

Early days... Had to see 3,4 reviews on a car to get the compleate picture of that car... Now i just watch what talking cars has to say abour that car... The process made simple.... 😍❤️

This car would've worked well if it had an automatic and priced it to compete with Kwid. If they are going to price it above that and is not gonna launch an automatic, it's a wasted attempt from a European company. What a shame!

@@Rockstar-ub7ul Unfortunately, with all the cost cutting, the car looks like it belongs to Kwid's segment. Kwid's instrument cluster looks even better. 😒 We could've forgiven everything if there was an automatic version. But this....this looks like a crime.

Market research gone wrong or is everything on the accessory list? Anyway, the lack of AT is a huge negative along with the instrument console and fixed headrest. This may end up as another 'cheap car for India' approach which has never seen success. Let's wait and see and not judge too early.

Need an update on the "accessory list". I like this approach. Why pay for something you don't need and can reduce the upfront cost. Its a win win. That instrument cluster is a bummer. Will there be a tachometer as an accessory like in the good old Ritz? 🤔 Is this particular car the top end?

i Think .. Ok this car gets placed among Swift nd Baleno category and PPL buys this and it becomes a good seller . It's gonna bring down the price to feature value of other cars lyk .. other manufacturers too wud think " if cytrogen could sell well a basic car why can't we do the same " thts gonna drastically affect this segment .. ith just enik tonniya karyam ahn .. lyk apple removed the charger from the box no one complained nd the other companies followed that Trend and now every mnc is looking forward to it . . Why buy this when there's punch and better offerings from other brands .. let them improve their game

US ൽ ഒക്കെ 80'S മുതൽ AUTOMATIC ഉണ്ട്, അതിനർത്ഥം വളരെ കുറച്ചു വർഷങ്ങളായി India ൽ കിട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന Automatic cars ഒഴിച്ച് ഒരു 2010 വരെ ഉള്ള cars ഒക്കെ കാലപ്പഴക്കം ചെന്നതാർന്നോ? ഇപ്പോഴും ഒരു വിധം എല്ലാ sedan ലും Base model /sport model ൽ manual option ഉണ്ട്. ഇവിടെ Citreon Cheap ആക്കാൻ നോക്കി വച്ചേക്കുന്നത് ഒള്ളു. അല്ലാതെ Automatic ഒരു new tech ഒന്നും അല്ല.

A car which could have been a hit. But as per the review the general vibe is that its going to fail unless the pricing is really good. So prepare to be stunned by the prices!

In a land of quirky cars, spresso, ignis, celerio and so on, this car looks proportional on all angles, why would anyone complain on the design? The only thing would be the pricing as it's basic from the inside...

I think this C3 will be moderate success. Indians loves blinks! 10inch touch is the only blink inside the cabin. Can it save C3? We need to wait and watch. If they priced it over aggrasive then people tend to associate it with cheap. Intresting times ahead. Best wishes Citroen.

Waiting for Turbo price. If its under 8 lakhs it will be a disappointing factor for me as i booked and getting Punch on this month. Other components that missing is okay for me since I am transferring from Eon Base model.

@@maana5623 on features aspect on base model it could sit on kwid segment.. On space and comfort aspect it could be superior to kiger segment.. That rear knee room and thigh support looks very good..(ref:autocar review)

TATA would be feeling relieved seeing the feedbacks that C3 is getting... Basic features missing would be a huge concern I think... Would go for PUNCH... Lets see what Hyundai is gonna bring with their micro SUV coming soon....

Punch is good in every way other than engine. 17 seconds to 100 kph is super slow and with constant gear changes to keep it going affect fuel efficiency as well.

To my opinion, if the ex-showroom price of Citroen C3 stays pretty low for the bare basic package they offer as of now, adding up the necessary equipment as accessories would be a great thing, that people can get only what they require. It's not under 5 lakh..even base variant (Live) costs upto 6.75 lakhs on road 😪. And when asked to give 2 reasons for opting citreon instead of its rivals to the Citreon customer service, the agent said: 1. Ground clearance. 2. 🤔🤷 Edit: Waiting to test drive the base variant. Even they are not sure when it would be available for the same

better stability in bad roads, best rear seat ride quality segment wise, best cooling AC....Driving an enjoyable experience too...the engineering is focused on ride quality and overall driving aesthetics...i think electrical ORVMS they will be providing soon after recent customer feedback... it still drives better than any hyundai...

I used to regularly watch your reviews. Even after coming across your negative review about Citroën C3, I decided to buy a Citroën C3. However, I stopped following your channel after that. While you do present both positives and negatives clearly in your reviews, they are subjective. As someone who didn't want to pay for unnecessary features, I interpreted your negative comments as positive. However, your review titles isexplicitly negative, which many will interpret as negative without watching full review. This makes it seem like you're taking a side rather than offering a balanced perspective, thats why I lost trust in your reviews. Recently, when I came across news in media about film reviewers giving negative reviews to intentionally make movies fail, it reminded me of your this review. So, I returned here to leave this comment. I'm not sure if you ever even understand my point.

Did the company mentioned at what rpm the said power and torque delivered? there is no practical use if it is at very high rpm.

If you compare it from a foodie perspective, Others add a lot of Masala to hide the real taste, this is on the transparent side with the simple but delicious marination. I like your content. Every-time you say Punch, it looks like the Tata Punch is getting marketed, reverse ad 🤣 We should ask Citroen to employ you to do the survey actually. I meant not only Citroen, but all brands. Considering the inputs, the car and engine looks good, but the wish list remains far below on what you would see from a Maruti or even Tata.

Citroen’s 1.2 turbo petrol even powers 7 seater mpv models in Europe, albeit in higher state of tune and feels decent. So with such a nice engine this feels like an opportunity missed for Citroen. They are known for funky details inside the car as well and could have added some more features.
