I agree with Vivekji. An average back seat and a stiff ride? That's not an S class... Overall, the EQ range from Merc is the epitome of everything I am afraid of in the future of cars. Zero physical interaction, complete loss of what these brands stand for.

The grill portion is actually a display. In next generation eqs we will be able to customize the grill as per our wish. In front, merc will remove the LED strip because now it dulls half the view of Merc logo when the light is on at night.

I would call EQS a "Ruined Opportunity". They could have done this in EQC and EQE and we wouldn't have bothered as much, but, S Class always stood for the epitome of luxury and when you bring an electric version with the badge "S" in it, its obvious we all expect that cutting edge technology and luxury. A point well made by our brothers here is "This is NOT an S class" and it does not come close to one unfortunately as well. Mercedes had the opportunity to bring in a revolutionary step into the the Luxury Electric Car segment, but they missed it by a long margin. This car, EQS might always stay in history as a gimmick, a toy for the millennial millionaires. I hope this is just a beginning from Mercedes and they will come up with a car which truly deserves the "S" badge.

Watching this video, the most striking thing about these hi-tech cars on our roads is actually not the car itself but the stark contrast it lends to its immediate surroundings. The road conditions, the rural infrastructure and the people seem like from another century. A car like this looks like an abomination, unlike when seeing them on first-world roads. To the average onlooker, it will take him 2 to 3 generations more to even think of buying something like this, if at all . While we're proud of its "made in India" credentials, the "scenery" quickly brings us rudely back to reality, that's India. Makes one guilty almost to own one.
