What a stupid question. Don't you know that Ukraine was party to the Budapest memorandum in which Ukraine gave up the nuclear weapons it inherited from the Soviet Union? In return Russia promised to guarantee Ukraine's independnce - a promise that has been broken. I think Ukraine has given much to the security of the rest of the world but has been badly let down.
