I live in Australia. What I would like to see banned is potential employees interviewing potential staff in cafes. That would probably include interviews in pubs as well. Most people in the senior years like me agree that they wouldn't conduct an interview like that. If I went for a job, and it was conducted in public or even on a public bench in a mall, I wouldn't do it. It's a bit like having an Amway meeting in a cafe isn't it. It's embarrassing, it's open to eavesdroppers etc. I can understand that today you don't want potential staff out the back looking around casing the joint so to speak, but you should be able to grab a chair for the interviewee, close the shop for 5 minutes, indoor quick chat there. Or have them come 10 minutes before opening!
