While in Rome I had 2 cardiac arrests, now fitted with an ICD. Paramedics turned up within 11 minutes. In my place of work a colleague had a heart attack and had to wait 45 minutes. If it had happened to me in the UK I would have been pronounced dead. Timings in the UK will get worse.

I just read a string of comments elsewhere regarding the NHS and they were horrific. People were saying that their doctors/clinics were not taking phone calls anymore, and to report any health problem via email (one such email wasn't read for 3 days)! Some also said they were worried that they may be having a stroke, or had problems breathing, and were told that an ambulance 'should' be with them in NINE hours!!! 😳
