We need to bring back vocational courses for those people who are not academic, job centres are not fit for purpose, when I was unemployed way back in the 1970s, they helped me find work, there were boards with jobs listed they don't do anything like that anymore, they just seem to want you to show them you've been applying for work. It's not good enough, employers also need to help by actually replying to an applicant to at least know whether they haven't got the job. Most if the time you apply and gey no acknowledgement whatsoever, that doesn't help when you have to go to the job centre, and you have no answers for them. Basic work skills should be taught at school from year 7 onwards, like bricklaying, some car mechanics etc if kids had taster lessons like this it might help these children when they get to the point of needing to select their exam subjects. Don't force them to do a subject they really have no interest in, when it comes to their exams, if they hate maths don't force them to fo it as they are likely just to skip school for that lesson, let them have the lessons they are interested in and they won't bunk school.

Please check your facts. The motability car is NOT free! I drive one because my son is profoundly disabled and he receives the higher rate mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance. This part of his allowance is deducted in exchange for a car. We had to pay a £3,000 deposit for a 3 year lease. It is a very good scheme without which we would not be able to afford a suitable car. I cannot work due to my son's care needs. If someone is running marathons and receiving DLA, or PIP, then they should be prosecuted for benefit fraud.

People knowingly committing benefit fraud and refusing to pay back are not law abiding citizens so what is the likelihood they would continue to drive if banned and are therefore driving without insurance so if and when they crash into a law abiding citizen the law abiding citizen will not be able to claim for damage to their vehicles or themselves or passengers, an even bigger problem if the law abiding citizen is a young/low income driver and driving on third party, fire and theft insurance.
