I have given you a thumbs up because I agree with your general point, I just disagree that "animals are sentient" because: Over 1.5 million living animal species have been described, of which around 1.05 million are insects, over 85,000 are molluscs, and around 65,000 are vertebrates, clearly a significant quantity of Animals are NOT sentient, and yes it is disgusting how SOME of us treat SOME animals, and when I mean "some of us" I mean entire national populations rather than individual people, some nations treat animals incredibly well compared to others, and even then the nations that treat animals the best are still striving to do a better job, whilst others are standing still or likely going backwards.

As for Kevin and his remark about Octopuses @2:17:53 he clearly knows a bit more than most. I like "Octopi" right up until I looked that up both on my plate and because they are amazing animals in so many ways that is putting me off of Octopuses, which is the correct plural for a collective of Octopus NOT Octopi, thanks Kevin for teaching me this, and hopefully in the future help in identifying a Greek name (Octopus) vs a Latin name Canis Lupus (Wolf).
