Unfortunately creating divides like this dont serve humanity and in the long run these sorts of statements probably lead to a lot of avoidable tension and issues. Probably your issues with islam result from you not having a good enough education regarding the matter, or some deep insecurity you have that you aren't good enough for some reason. Its important to go and meet diff kinds of ppl, and do it in an open and curious way. Set your ego aside, and maybe you will be surprised to see that there are good and bad ppl of all faiths.. Making this seem like a religious issue is a sad reflection of your own inadequacies. However it's also a sad reflection of the state of affairs in 2024.

Although he had a strong relationship with the PLO and supported the Palestinian cause, he believed that both the Jews and Palestinians have legitimate national ambitions. In 1994 he called all Jewish ex patriots to return to South Africa except ' those who had left for their homeland'. in 1999 he called on all Arab leaders to 'make an unequivocal statement that they recognise the existence of Israel with secure borders'. Only with that recognition did he believe peace would be achieved.
