With no formal training, under these horrible circumstances, and the sheer number of dead you got ready for burial in such a short time showed your dedication, love, and respect for each person you served. Please know that even those who care for the dead daily could not have done this better or faster observing the religious requirements you were working under. The fact that you worked in groups will over time help you to deal with mental strain each of you may suffer in the future because it was a shared experience and within your groups you will have people who know exactly what you have witnessed. Just hearing the account of the baby burned alive whilst mummy was being rape n dad shot already made me despair. Even before Abigail started I was already in tears. I could also hear the emotion thick in Caroline’s voice. Hearing the first three bodies were decapitated sounded harrowing. But knowing Abigail and team had to deal with so many horrifying sights… Small bits of charred bodies or half charred bodies burned alive… and wrapping them to have a semblance of human form… this is just unbelievably cruel. Women clothed but without underwear, violated, mowed down… the women young and old were so bloody from stab wounds and other wounds. It is a nightmare. How could anyone not suffer from PTSD after these sights??
