You don't want solar panels on your roof. Whenever you have your roof repaired or replaced, you need to pay someone to remove the panels, then re-attach once the roof repair/replacement is complete. In the US, many of the solar panel companies went out of business, leaving homeowners with no warranties and having to hunt to find someone to repair their panels whenever issues arise.
