Talk's Julia Hartley-Brewer doesn’t understand why Keir Starmer, ‘of all people’, was gifted Taylor Swift tickets.
A business minister said she is investigating whether she can pay for a BBC gift after Sir Keir Starmer paid back more than £6,000 worth of gifts and hospitality.
Sarah Jones said she received a ticket to the BBC Proms over the summer and was a guest of the broadcaster, adding it “may not be possible” to pay it back as it was a gift in kind.
Julia says: “Why did they want to invite, for a fun pop night out, Keir Starmer?”

Who pays the piper picks the tune. Disgraceful to say the least. The lesson to be learned by the voters is you get WHO you vote for. Don't merely look at the policy and what they aim to achieve, but take a good look at their character. The clothes don't make the man. It is a sign of being wrapped in the present culture of "me, me, me " if this is what they value. It also is a signal that they think voters are stupid enough to be distracted by the superficial.

I do think corruption because nobody gives something for no reason at all. It might be to get a better opinion of themselves or to be seen with the government members visiting their own company. However people like Ali are above all that surely? The clothing looks like someone who has 'created' the role, actually dressing the actors.. When I was a child our downstairs neighbour used to give us her free tickets. She was an usher at a large venue and often got given some. We went to see several pantomimes and even the russian Gymnasts once... (not pop concerts or football matches). Her own children had no children so it was a bit like she treated us as her g kids and we loved it as we were virtually penniless.
