Just watched a few minutes of a movie about Bhagavan he died the minute I was born… The same exact time 8:47pm. I love that synchronicity. He is my true and only true Teacher. I have studied metaphysics, philosophy and several teachers… Even three teachers before him saying the same thing… But I never heard the message until I got it directly from him. There are no more teachers. And sometimes in the evenings, I am being taught all night long… Just wanted to share that because it overwhelms me. I practice self inquiry all the time, even in public… What I do is I blur my eyes unless I need to be exactly focused, so that the images that move before them cannot entrance or engage me… And I try to keep my focus solely on my heart even when speaking with people… There is this deep, penetrating quiet that has come into my life… There’s only when I am engaged in the mind that it is no longer there. And I feel it. the quiet becomes longer and deeper the more I go in. Thank you for helping.

Here is the second of two letters from the daughter of the Osbournes, so from a westerner who lived for numerous years with Ramana. I recommend it and it's message to anyone and everyone who respects truth and accuracy in the recording for posterity of the unique and pure life of Ramana. -- From: Katya Douglas Sent: Wednesday, October 12, 2016 ...I am constantly appalled by the slip-shod way in which Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharishi is mis-quoted and misrepresented. People who are concerned with writing or spreading the words and wisdom of a great sage have a responsibility to get it right. If they are writing fiction,which many of them are, then that should be clearly indicated. To use Bhagavan’s name in order to aggrandise oneself or claim some sort of superior knowledge is absolutely unforgivable. It does however, happen with increasing regularity. It seems that the passing on of rumour and gossip is easier and more fun than taking the trouble to check facts… and if in the process one can gain a reputation for spiritual knowledge, well what more could a writer on spiritual matters ask for? There are still a few of us left who were there when Bhagavan was sitting in the hall in the body. We are old, but in the main we are sane and our memories work just fine. However we are seldom if ever asked to confirm any story about Bhagavan. By and large writers prefer their own versions and are most reluctant to be corrected or told the truth!, ...I hope I have helped you to get nearer the truth of what happened way back when. Regards, Kitty Osborne (also known as Katya Douglas)

“...there are two types of inward movements. One is the self-reflexive loop of the ego. When you spend a lot of time focusing on yourself you can glorify the self-reflexive loop to the point you convince yourself you are Divine. She said she saw a lot of that in modern “spiritual” teachings. The self-reflexive loop is very attractive to narcissists because they are already extremely self-obsessed. The true spiritual movement is not to focus on “oneself,” but involves the still center, that immovable still point that has never changed amidst all of the comings and goings of life.” ~~ Steven Strouth

According to Wikipedia, the entry on Robert Adams: None of Robert Adams claims of visiting India or Ramana Ashram have ever been verified by anyone except himself. His claims of living in Arthur Osborne's house have been questioned by Katya Osborne and Michael James and found to be likely made up.[18] Also Ramana Ashram's The Mountain Path has concluded Robert Adams was never there: "There is the curious case of a Robert Adams, an American guru who asserted that he was at Sri Ramanasramam between 1947-8 and 1952 (the dates vary in his conversations) and that he moved closely with Bhagavan. Until such time as there appears objective, verifiable evidence to substantiate this claim, we cannot but come to the conclusion that his account is unreliable."

Yes, it's cleat now that Adams never even set foot in India, let alone met Ramana. His own students are on record saying that he was a compulsive liar.

Is there any reason for ramana applying viboothi(pattai) on his forehead, as far as i know it is associated with gods which he himself has said to be as an objectification of the mind and that true god is the self.
@David_Godman9 жыл бұрын
Deepak Natraj He showed respect to all forms of the divine and to any form of prasad that came from them. There is a nice verse in Guru Vachaka Kovai to the effect that the wife shows deferential respect to her husband in public even though she has enjoyed the bliss of union in the privacy of the bedroom. Aprops vibhuti, Bhagavan felt genuine reverence for Arunachala which he took to be the form of Siva, not just a representation of him. He regarded vibhuti as a sacrament of his Guru and God and treated it accordingly.

That is what i thought but David spoke to a key person who indeed remembered him. She was the daughter of (name slips me) Osbourne? He was instrumental in assisting Westerners and all that came to the ashram... It had to do with him giving a car to Adams as i recall and Osbourne's daughter had her eyes on the car so it stuck in her memory (who he gave it to). David mentions this on at least one of his videos. Also Pajaji aka Poonjaji recognized Adam's enlightened state and read from his books at satsang.
@lucyhartman1501 Жыл бұрын
@@Avisado You're speaking of Katya Osborne, she was contacted about this and confirms they never even had a car. Her parents couldn't even drive! So, the whole thing has been revealed as a myth. Ramanashram even had a photo up of Adams. When Katya's letter's came out, they took down their photo. It's now been shown that Adams never even met Ramana. (he sure fooled a lot of people though!)
@Avisado Жыл бұрын
@@lucyhartman1501 Yes a lot of people. Not sure but it was likely David G who gave Nisargadatta Majaraj a read of some of Adam's writings. Then claimed Nisargadatta raved about it saying "he is there" or something to that affect... Begs the questions how and why is David G insisting that Adams was legit? Truth is that Adams was a letch and got after many women according to inside sources who knew all about him... He was living in a fantasy world within the 'waking dream' that we all live in. (Adams that is)
@lucyhartman1501 Жыл бұрын
@@Avisado It was actually Papaji that liked Adams transcripts (not Nisargadatta). Yes, even Adams big students like Ed Muzika had no problem saying that "Robert was a compulsive liar, and a notorious womanizer" I think it would be good if David took down all materials that feature anything to do with Adams.
@Avisado Жыл бұрын
@@lucyhartman1501 Yes I know Papaji approved but thought also Nisargatta was impressed as well. David G spent many days with Nisargatta until one day Nisargatta told him he has received enough and told him to leave. David was like a sponge in those days soaking up information and energy from anyone he thought was even close to Ramana in awareness. A fantastic life being with swamies who were old but enlightened while directly following Ramana. Then he started on others like Papaji, Nisargatta and Ramesh maybe.

God is unconditional love. The notion that He's got favorites - or that God's a 'He' 😊 - is a fiction. We all come from Source and refine to higher planes of love, light and understanding that we're not separate. These are difficult lessons, but we do ascend... some more gradually than others. When we judge, we are farther from that Light. When judgement falls away, we get closer to it. We sure can make things complicated, eh? Hugs from one who's still trying. Paz y luz ✨️
