Thank you David for this detailed account of Mudaliar Patti. Her complete devotion over so many decades of her life is just overwhelming to me.

What an outstanding devotee. Imagine having to search for Bhagavan everyday and then give him food and only then partake of the rest. As usual, wonderfully narrated by David Godman,

Absolutely fantastic David sir. When you narrate these stories, its almost like a movie that goes through my mind and it feels like I can actually visualize how glorious those days with Bhagavan must have been. Blessed are those devotees who were able to be in his presence and serve him directly. Please continue to post these videos. They are so wonderful and so satisfying emotionally. Thank you.

As people increasingly realize just what an extraordinary and rare being Ramana/Bhagavan was, there is no way these videos don't end up with millions of views... I tell random people all the time about Ramana, and it's amazing how many of them seem to become quite interested in him, even though these people are from all walks of life and often not ones you would expect to be into "spiritual" things. Arunachala power running strong in 2016...

I was really wondering while seeing the video as to whether a person of such total devotion would not have realized herself. Your narration that Bhagavan has instructed her burial in Gounder's compound with orange Saree made me infer that she indeed was a realized soul - attained through such unfailing devotion. I was reminded of your narration that Matru Saradamma attained her self-realization through total devotion to her guru Sri Lakshmana swami. It is a pity that one cannot get to see her Samadhi place. Thanks so much for your devotion to Bhagavan which made you bring out these videos.

I enjoyed the narration thoroughly.The narration was brilliant.Thanks. I was mad about Bhagawan at some point when I was just 16 years old and have read a lot about him .Mudhaliar patti's samadhi was unfortunately damaged by the person who bought her samadhi with the house and the person who had damaged died in a train accident it is said.Bhagawan had showed His Grace to unworthy soul like me many times.Am lucky indeed.Mudaliar amma patti is no doubt a very great soul Pranams to her.

Amazing indeed and tears roll out listening to such great love n dedication. You had not mentioned about the destruction of her samadhi and what had happened to the person who destroyed it. I had read it somewhere. ....any reason for the omission?

Ego less devotion is above all else the result of simple uncomplicated minds not weighed down by studies and rituals. All our stories of great bakthas like vedan kannappan showed this.
Very beautiful, moving story. Thank you for all your work David. I wonder what happened to her soul ?

Hi! Big fan here, David. Where can I find the chant that your videos begin with. I had a link for it on KZbin once, but can't find it anymore.
@David_Godman7 жыл бұрын
It's the first two lines of Ramana Puranam, composed by Muruganar and chanted by a group from the Ramana Maharshi Centre for Learning, Bangalore. I took the chant from a CD that was sold in the Ramanasramam Book Depot. I assume the Bangalore centre has copies as well.

David Godman...it has come to notice of many people on internet, that Robert Adams made up his story of being at Ramana Ashram...Some of if is on the authority of none other than Kitty Osborne who has written very vehemently on this matter..also Ramana Asram has no record of Adams being there , ever.Could you clear this matter up pls ?
