This is because of individual errors in the last campaign for 2022 mainly missed penalties & leading to the 2018 World Cup the Italian FA went cheapen& appointed a manager who had never managed this level & he tacitly failed badly. What have England done? This rant on Talksport is typical of these types of people to piss on a nation like Italy becuase deep down it burns them that England have never reached the heights of winning 4 World Cups & 2 European Championships turning England over at Wembley. Switzerland is a super solid team. They usually struggle a bit when going in as the favorite (such as against Scottland), but they always play strong against bigger names. They are not yet a top team like France or Germany, but they are much more constant than both at tournaments. the others have bigger swings from winning to not even participating. One of their biggest advantages is that they are still always underestimated. They love that.

These commentators are missing two basic knowkedge facts. It's a team sport everyone plays an important role. It's a game with many variables and every player in every avtion contributes. Plus all players at this level are talented, fast, strong. Not only the popular ones. A team that plays aggressive presses well, switches and moves off the ball a lot can beat anyone at this level. This Euro and the Last World Cup is proving me right. These high paid commentators miss these two basic although important aspects of a team sport like Soccer so their comments are often inaccurate

It just makes you realize the talent England have, they have pace and goal scorers which is why they are favourites so it's about putting it altogether, this tournament has been so underwhelming I can see the winner stumbling through and winning with unconvincing victories, Italy were lucky to even qualify, they made it by the skin of their teeth, they just don't have the talent, it's a generational thing, which is another reason England have done well over the last 3 tournaments and so much is expected of them
