Matter of fact like the guy on the left said, he doesn't get into City's team. Yeah he's more naturally talented than Sterling, Grealish Bernardo etc, but when its a battle at Anfield do you want Neymar in your team? Is he going to pull up his socks and do the dirty work? Or just moan at the ref? He doesn't get into Liverpool's team either for the same reason. A lot of what makes Pool good is the press, Neymar isnt pressing anyone on the pitch. Klopp would want to rip his head off. I'd happily take Mane, Salah or Jota over him ANY day. I believe Neymar is one of if not the most naturally talented footballers born in the last 30 years. BUT he's never done enough of note to get put in with the likes of Messi, Benzema, Lewa, CR7. All the talent in the world and the wrong attitude has hampered his career.

Rarely agree with Cundy, but I do this time. Neymar has always been overrated because of his raw technical ability. He is not a team player and he does not walk into any team in the world apart from PSG because it's a team built around image hense why they struggle. Neymar would rather shoot than pass and would rather dive than run. O'Hara comparing him to Grealish is a bit silly because Grealish constantly gets benched. Pep never plays the same team twice in a row and even with Neymar there, that would not change. In fact, Neymar might have the same role as Grealish does at the moment. As for Liverpool, Neymar would not be able to replace even Jota, not because Jota is a better footballer than Neymar, but because Jota fits much better in their system. The exact same will be said about Mbappe a few years time! Remember that Neymar was actually considered to be the next Ronaldo and Messi. He didn't, and Mbappe won't either. It's sad how fans set up players to fail! Mbappe doesn't have the skill set to do magic like what Messi and Ronaldo did for over a decade on the biggest stage getting absolutely ridiculous stats! The pressure and hype that fans put on players is unfair, and players like mbappe and neymar become egoistic and think they are bigger than they actually are. Pogba, greizeman and many others are big examples of how bad attitude can stop players from being one of the best.
@Franciscus122 жыл бұрын
Mbappé isn’t “egoistic”, he has great attitude , egoistic based on what? Lol Blatant ignorance by English who don’t even watch him. His numbers already at his age speak for itself. He won’t have the same skill because no one will but he will definitely be good as ronaldo skill wise.
@fe5672 жыл бұрын
@@Franciscus12 first of all, I'm not English! Secondly, no one will ever be as good as Messi or Ronaldo! They are the two greatest players ever. What they did was not just about skill set, it's about how hard they worked up the ranks, it's even about luck. You look at games where they literally did magic. It's like the gods of football was with them at times! When you have players that's so great, it will be impossible to compare others to them. It's like Shakespeare, even if there's a writer that's as good as him, they won't be considered the same due to how much work Shakespeare put in, how he didn't really do it for money but for pure enjoyment, and you didn't have as much people critiquing his work and influencing him back in those times! I'm not saying Mbappe isn't good, he is. But he's far too overrated IMO. Just like Neymar was! I remember the first two years after he left Santos. He was incredible! But for how long? Definitely not two decades! Maybe when Mbappe reaches 25-27, he'll be much more mature and develop his game with the right attitude and go to a Prem team and be the star man. Rn, Mbappe isn't ready for a Liverpool or City etc. But if he has the right attitude he could be in the future. Football fans are like little excited children. Overhype players until they don't reach the expectations then they forget about them and wagon on the next rising star!
@Franciscus122 жыл бұрын
@@fe567 first off you don’t accomplish what Mbappe has done at 23 without having “the right attitude”. Saying what Messi/Ronaldo did on the pitch “is something we’ve never seen before” is peak ignorance and a great disrespect to the likes of Maradona, Ronaldinho and R9 who were much more talented than cr7, this even close.Yes they stayed consistent for longer periods btw with far better technology than legends in the past and scored more goals but in a given day Ronaldo hasn’t done anything we’ve never seen before; Maradona didn’t turn up in the World Cup to be this disrespected. As for Messi he’s scored goals only a few players will ever do but not something “we’ll never see”. Mbappe at 23 is a better forward than Ronaldo; not saying he will be better but if he keeps improving which he has been adding many different aspects to his game, he will surpass Ronaldo. Ronaldo is just goal records which can be broken with dedication, for example someone like Haaland. Messi on the other hand is a bit different with his ability and completeness and most likely won’t be surpassed for a very long time.
@Franciscus122 жыл бұрын
@@fe567 isn’t ready for Liverpool where forwards with no technical ability like Jota do nothing offensively for most of the game and scores a lucky goal, lmao. Mahrez is the only one close to Mbappe’s level in city’s attack, they heavily depend on the midfield to deliver which is why Gundogan was their top scorer
@ND9HighlightsComps2 жыл бұрын
Horrible take! Mbappe is otw to Real and will cement his legacy with a UCL win at some point. He's carrying a team with Neymar and Messi at age 23. Has Neymar done that? He also won the World Cup at 19. If anything Mbappé will be considered better than Pele

Ok, as a City fan I'm still to warm up to Jack Grealish and he may not be as talented as Neymar but I can't have anyone compare his workrate to Neymar. Grealish is spotless in his tracking back and that's the reason he's started both games against Chelsea and against Liverpool at Anfield. The lad played for Aston Villa and anyone who knows anything about the championship will know that no player succeeds there unless they are hardworkers. So in terms of workrate, there's no comparison between Grealish and Neymar
@marvellousdazza28362 жыл бұрын
100% Jason is spot on with this, he’s been lauded as the 3rd best player of his generation behind Messi and Ronaldo but he is NOWHERE near that level, he’s definitely not the 3rd best player of his generation. He’s a very good player but he’s not at the same level as Salah, Lewandowski, Mbappe, Haaland, Benzema even the likes of Mane, Son etc all put up better numbers than him over the past few seasons and they do it in a far tougher league! Neymar has scored 4 goals this season.. Put that in perspective with the likes of Lewandowski who’s scored 42, Benzema 30, Salah 27, Mbappe 25, Haaland 23 etc.. He’s a MILLION MILES off these guys, he’s a flashy player but he’s not an effective player and he’s not reliable. He’s nowhere near consistent enough to be considered an all time elite player.

Football is all about mindset and management. The team is a representation of the manager. PSG cant win with mediocre coaches. Luis Enrique got the best out of Messi Neymar Suarez by drilling them to press. Pep does the same at any club he goes. You’re only as good as your Teacher. Poch did get unlucky with the offside goals and lets be honest benzema did foul the keeper for the first goal. PSG was in control for 65 minutes, the coach didn’t adapt tactically. Players will do what they want unless you drill them every session, I couldn’t picture Poch shouting messi and neymar lol
