Had Dubois fought Nganou, there is absolutely no way he would have beat him in 2 rounds. His lack of movement would have resulted in him being clipped and possibly stopped unlike with Hergovic? He beat an overweight Miller in the last 10 seconds of a scrap of a fight where admittedly he dug deep and showed he has stamina. But now he’s jumping a level too far. He won’t be able to live with AJ’s power and doesn’t have the technical skills or ability to outfox AJ. All that being said, DDD lost the fight in the face off. AJ has ONLY lost to people who showed him a LOT of respect. He has silenced those that ran their mouth, (ask Nganou’s cornerman). DDD poked the bear, so now he’s gonna pay a heavy price. AJ to knock him out within 5 rounds..PERIOD👊🏾

@@liammcdougall2079 The point is that AJ has beaten everyone in his era is patently false. Usyk at h/w has comfortably beaten AJ twice (despite a dubious split decision in last fight), Dubois and Fury (which should have been by TKO) who are arguably the top 3 heavyweights at the moment and in AJ and Fury the best of a generation.

I don’t understand why there is so much hate on AJ. From people who can’t walk the walk as well. Get off your bums and go get a gold medal, then become a world champ within 16 or so fights, get knocked down by one of the hardest right hands that wipes people out and get up and stop him. Also have the bottle to keep getting up after four knock downs and then have the bottle for the rematch. Then take on the best whilst you aren’t in the best place. No harm is losing, come back stronger and still trying to box in a stadium of 96,000. Absolutely proper props to AJ. Stuff of dreams for us but bloody hard work for him.

I think Froch's point is a bit more nuanced. He isn't trying to invalidate all fighters who win vacant titles but specifically this situation i.e. AJ has been beaten by the title holder twice and is now fighting for that title despite Usyk still being active. The title was stripped arbitrarily by the IBF and it makes a nonsense of AJ "winning" that belt.
@maxwellgrimes37044 күн бұрын
Carl froch also rubbished him being a 3rd time champion which then by that logic you can't give Ali credit for avenging a defeat against a 7 fight novice in Spinks. Dubois is a contender who at least deserves the chance to fight for the belt. He had to fight the intermediate in Hergovic. And with Froch, in his career not only did he never move up he got schooled by the N1 in his era and p4p fighter Ward which is equivalent to Fury and AJ being beat by Usyk a top p4p fighter.

Absolutely buzzing for this fight, DDD has no defence. AJ never was a natural boxer nothing but respect for the bloke, think he took it on himself and studied it to challenge himself and now he is a word class boxer. He has it all power, jab,defence,footwork and distance,chin and a game plan.

When you get someone saying "AJ hasnt beaten anyone apart from a 41yr old Klitchko"..Why can you not addreess that and list off his names...your suppose to be boxing analysts...All you do by not addressing it, is make people believe its true when its not...Hes beaten 11 ring top tens,,More than fury, wilder and parker combined

Spencer Oliver makes me laugh. “He’s beaten everybody that’s around, of this era” WTF did I miss?? Last time I checked he lost to Usyk twice & he’s not fought Fury. Pure nonsense being spewed on live radio!! 🤦🏻♂️

@FrochOnFighting How do they get away with talking such effin nonsense. Even though I believe Joshua will beat Dubois, it's a paper title. Usyk has already beaten both of them comfortably.

you cant say ben davison at 5 years old is a better trainer than experienced don charles, ben davison is a good motivator and student of the sport but being coach to fury and aj was kind of a life hack, he can go on to be one of the best coaches one day but dont belittle don charles or other trainers by saying these things so casually and smugly, it doesnt feel right

Dubois took far to many right handers from Hrgovic, Joe Joyce jabbed Dubois' head off. If Dubois has to have a defensive game we have never seen from him before. AJ will destroy Dubois if given half an opening.

Why is it always overlooked by so-called experts, that Joshua went back, beat up and beat Ruiz Jr in the immediate rematch to regain his HW titles? Or that in their first fight, Joshua had been preparing for Jarrell Miller, not Ruiz, and foolishly overlooked the substitute while focusing on the hyperbole of the show: big mistake but not the first champion to do so, but it's funny how all the excuses were wheeled out for Fury when he appeared to lose to Ngannou. It is strange how so many pundits and the public disregard Joshua's prior opponents and career record to pick against him almost every time; be it against Klitschko, Whyte, Povetkin, Pulev, Wallin, Ngannou, Ruiz Jr II, Parker and now, Dubois, and hypothetically against the Wilder, Fury, Joyce* and Whyte II fights that have never materialized but Joshua signed up for. Considering some forgotten facts: the rested and rejuvenated Klitschko was back to his earlier career, aggressive best against Joshua than in many of his late prime, hit-and-hold performances, and IMO, on that form would have probably beaten Fury in a rematch. Also, Ruiz Jr was a late change of opponent (and numerous legendary fighters have been caught out by that then put it right in a rematch). The very limited, protected and overhyped 'Windmill, chicken-legged' Wilder would have been destroyed by Joshua, plus Joshua tried to box against the masterful, southpaw Usyk rather than fight to his own strengths: in the first fight he rarely kept his right foot outside of Usyk's left or moved in the right direction for the entire fight - his coaching/listening, aggression and technique were lacking in these fights. However, a free-punching, aggressive Dubois later dropped Usyk with a legitimate body shot on the belt (not below it) before being schooled and giving up, the aged Chisora gave Usyk a hell of a fight, also by being aggressive and letting his hands go, and despite being a deserved loser against Usyk, Fury staggered and almost took Usyk's head off during a period of being aggressive during their fight, before going back to a more boxing, win by points approach that effectively got him KO's but for the ref. Joshua may have learned his lesson from all of this and has every chance of beating Usyk based on the realities of boxing not bias opinions, and if Usyk can beat a pre-Ruiz Jr version of Joshua, now with a better-matched trainer, and neither tentative nor thinking about chess; then even more credit to him. Funnily enough though; Wallin and Ngannou were described as 'world-class' when they fought Fury, gave him a torrid time, including cutting and dropping him, and lost very questionable, close decisions. And Helenius was called elite when he, very suspiciously, buckled to a retreating (falling into the ropes, chin up, eyes closed, fake KO punch arm not extended) Wilder within seconds of round one, presumably to rebuild his friend, Wilder's KO mythology, career and bankability after Wilder had been brutally stopped twice by Fury. But when Joshua brutally battered and KO'd all 3 of these same opponents shortly afterwards - including a better prepared Ngannou, better conditioned Helenius, and Wallin, now more experienced and coming off an impressive win against top-opposition (Gassiev) and only the points loss to Fury on his record (with many pundits picking Joshua to lose against Wallin and Ngannou), they are unashamedly described as actually not being world-class - including in this clip - as if there is a sudden onset of amnesia. Far too much hypocrisy at it's finest here and understandable why Joshua sometimes gives these talking heads short-shrift these days.

My answer of this title & my opinion,AJ is elite already he don’t need to beat DDD to prove that,someone who quit vs JJ & quit vs usyk from a jab in the mouth! Fought a 330LB out of shape 2 weeks notice miller took 11 rounds to stop him,hergavic fight was stopped on cuts (wasn’t a proper win) who’s Hrgovic beat who’s miller beat,so no that’s definitely wrong,absolutely nuts to even say it tbh,AJs already at the top in the elite club DDD is trying to get there but he ain’t gonna be there till the likes of AJ fury Usyk retire then he’s got a chance to be at the top,if he stops the quitting

How can they say Joshua has been the best if his era when he hasn't fought wilder during wilders time of form, hasn't fought fury yet and lost twice to usykk. Soonest saying he couldn't beat fury or wilder but if he hasn't fought /beat the best he can't be the best surely
@freddiefreeman41194 күн бұрын
“Will be elite” 😂 Jordan is clever according to Eddie Hearn, so I can only assume he’s just baiting. Joshua is clearly elite. There’s a gulf between world level and elite. Dubois has been boxing since he was eight years old, he’ll never be elite. He should be dominating now! He had a ten year start on Joshua so he’s already been boxing two years longer. So I’d suggest Dubois has not improved since I first saw him, whereas Joshua is still improving.

Its mad how AJ gets stick for not fighting Wilder or Fury yet they fooled the world into thinking AJ wouldnt fight them! 😂 Fury was absolutely gutted Wilder continued boxing after he convinced the world that Wilder was a demi-god!! As much as supported Usyk to win the first fight, but watching the first fight, I think fury can beat Usyk, if he comes to KO usyk. Usyk and AJ made a mistake of trying to box with Usyk cos they do not believe in themselves to KO usyk and are concerned they'll be molested if they can't KO him in 7rounds. That 7round KO is what AJ is seeking now and i hope that's what Fury will seek to do in the rematch. Usyk is the greatest though in this generation
