I disagree. Wilder as everyone knows is and always has been a one trick pony. He was terrible in the 2nd and 3rd fights as he was way over weight for both his highest recorded weights for any fight . He was gassed out after 2 or 3 rounds and fury still took ages to stop him in both. Fury drained him of energy by leaning on him all through both fights. Yes the fights were slightly exciting for the fact that both men were down multiple times but they were crap fights in terms of boxing.

Don't agree that the version of Fury that fought Wilder would have had a chance against Usyk. Wilder is not a good boxer and isn't a good barometer for measuring whether Fury could have beaten Usyk or not - only version of Fury that may have had a chance against Usyk was the leaner, awkward version that fought against Klitschko and was on steroids.
@SurreyBasements1Сағат бұрын
I agree and I don’t think he was necessarily at his zenith against Wilder then below that level when he fought Usyk. If anything his best ever performance in my view was Usyk 1 and he still got beat because he was up against a far superior fighter.

It's between Joshua and fury right? Joshuas best win is Joseph parker he is the only genuine world champ he beat who was a world champ when they fought Charles Martin won the belt via injury and Andy Ruiz was champ because he beat Joshua. Fury went to Germany and beat Klitschko who hadn't been beat for 11 years and also went to America and beat the guy who was knocking everyone out in wilder. Although fury lost against usyk it was much more competitive than the Joshua usyk fights. Not saying fury would beat Joshua but In terms of best wins furys achievements are far greater.
@dennisallan300436 минут бұрын
@joemorrison2443 Joshua also beat Klitschko and it was a far more entertaining fight than Fury vs Klitschko, that's for sure, at least Klitschko turned up ready for battle in this fight, he didn't against Fury. Fury didn't give Klitschko a second shot either, denying him his rematch. Fury's resume isn't as great as you make it out to be, 3 wins against Wilder just don't cut it for me.

If he has retired for real I think he will be like the opposite of a Lennox Lewis who's career was more appreciated after the fact. I think people will look back and see what a plum Wilder was and that's one of his only two noteworthy wins, Klitschko being the other. He did give some good laughs over the years and was in some good fights too but ultimately he fucked around his opponents and the boxing public too much and wasted years ducking the smoke when in fact he had a real chance of beating everyone but I refuse to give him credit for fights he never had. At times he was a damn embarrassment to the sport and let's not forget the wild boar meat scandal and all that went with that
