I think what what Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma realised as batters while coming up the rank in international cricket that if you donot have the power to execute your own vision for the team, there are a lot of people around Indian cricket to set and execute their own vision on the team which might lead to a lot of struggle for the next generation of players. I think Rohit wants the newcomers to get enough time around the system so that they'll be able to take decision for themselves rather than others taking decision for themselves

This guy would go ga-ga when performance were on top, but will go a step further to down-rate players, guy has not touched bat in his life. I agree top order was inconsistent but even avgs of virat and rohit at home was in 40s for eng season , will you drop sarfaraz just after 150 won't give him a series atleast, knowing fully well he ain't great against quality spin and pacers. Chetan is correct. I have watched all three matches of the NZ series. The way Rohit and Virat got out horribly wrong. They should have looked for Pant's techniques to counter spin. Again age and I think arrogance prevailing them to learn a cricket.
