I don’t know who started this idea that Ashwin and Jadeja are done. The only people who need some match practice and training in temperament are Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Ashwin and Jadeja have always performed in every series since their debut. They should be part of the team without a doubt.

Even with all the Ashwin jadeja talks the 4 innings the NZ players played on turners they scored around 250. The issue is and for a long time have been the top order batting, not the bowlers. But the bowlers don't have their fan pages to defend them and persecute everyone who criticizes them. So, let's blame the bowlers for the loss and end their carriers. While the batters are so great that how can they be accountable for anything.

These rank Turners gave us immense success during the Kohli Captaincy Tenure because our batters managed to play better Also additionally,NZ bamboozled us in every aspect of the game with better game plans,pitch reading and situational awareness Whenever we tried to give them a fightback,they roared even harder and didn't allow us to push them back for long, keeping a constant dominance throughout the series which is a gigantic achievement

@@Siberian_Khatru. our spinners are not good, by producing rank turners there is no difference between Santner and Jadeja...let that sink in. In Santner's own words: "On a pitch where one will skid and one will spin, it becomes an accuracy thing". This was the equivalent of NZ producing a green top where Kohli could take the new ball.

@@TheLeftie600 Our spinners are excellent,They have been rattling down oppositions for a decade now,even when rank Turners became a thing they produced amazing results and most of the times bundled oppositions on very low scores I cant fathom how you people are questioning our spinners after seeing how our batters shamelessly crumbled down inning after inning in this series! Jaddu and Ash have given sublime performance series after series Ordinary or Average spinners become more dangerous on rank Turners and we have seen that so many times already Ashwin and Jadeja bowled batter line and length only santner equalled their accuracy

The buck starts and stops with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Their batting average has been below par against all attacks. To lay blame on Ashwin/Jadeja is to mask the incompetency of our Top 5 batters. NZ didn't go past 270 in both 2nd and 3rd tests; our bowlers did the job, make no mistake.

Honestly, batsmen were totally out of form. We don't need to scapegoat them but we need to think about how to approach the game, may be more confidence in their defence is the key here. Sometimes, being a bit defensive with the bat is not a bad thing. Batsmen need to play according to the situation. For Ashwin and Jadeja, I think max in a few months time they will adapt to the reverse sweep and get back to their best. But, giving opportunities to the young lot is also important be it bowlers or batsmen. A balance needs to struck which in itself is not easy

Where is the focus on preparing fair & true surfaces with good bounce, carry, fair spin, which holds up for 5 days? Our team will be better served in all departments playing on such surfaces. Rank Turners and Green Tops are passable only once in a while, sadly owing to braindead incompetent cricketing bodies (not just IND), they're becoming a bloody norm nowadays. Result: Lopsided contests with very little skill on display. Hastens the death of Test Cricket.

I agree on the age thing too - Anderson should be there for suitable conditions, just don't take him to most other counties. That still gives time for other bowlers to learn (and have a rest)

It was a simple case of having Axar Patel more consistently in the team. He’s pretty good on rank turners. Cannot have so many runouts of main batsmen, and boom problem solved. There was a lot of complacence and overconfidence with an unnecessary shot selection in the name of intent. Correct all of those and they’re back to normalcy

Having that scorecard floating around makes it really difficult to read. I get that you’ve done it so the video is less static, and you’ve highlighted the parts that are relevant to your point, but it's terribly distracting to be shown an image and naturally try to track it but it's moving randomly - meaning the audience has to divert more attention to it than they would otherwise and stop listening to whay you're saying.

Bazball actually showed that you can reverse swept against Indian spin twins to upset their rhythm, but carried away with that approach. NZ on the other hand took a measured approach, they mixed sweeps and reverse sweeps with good defense & went down town if possible.

India has taken a high-risk approach of preparing 'snake-pits'. They did that at the cost of their batsmen's performance. They did that, because that is the only way the likes of Jadeja and especially Ashwin can take wickets. But now that Ashwin takes 9 wickets n 3 matches at an average of 42....and India loses 3-0, it is perhaps the end of the doctored pitch era, and by association, the end of Ashwin.
