As a dev, it was great to see a review from another developer about the usage and pros/cons. Very helpful to me, thanks! (PS. I ordered it tonight!)

Although it is not quote on quote 4k 2160p monitor, it is actually the same PPI as a 32 inch 16:9 4k monitor. It is no 6k 32 inch Pro Display XDR or 5k 27 inch studio display but it is as sharp as 32 inch 4k which is good enough

I'm gonna get one. It looks like it's popular too because a week ago, it wasn't available at regular retail price on Amazon. Hopefully they don't all get bought on Black Friday.

I've been thinking about a Dualup for a secondary monitor for a while, but didnt think the stand would be suitable for my desk top shelf. You didn't actually confirm it, but in the first couple of seconds of the video it looks like you put on some of vizio adaptor? If the Dualup could be used with another stand I will definitely buy one. A very informative video, many thanks

Great video, could you tell me if an iPad Pro will be able to fit directly under the monitor with the dual ups stock stand as high as it will go? I’ve measured the iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard and the height of the iPad is 9 inches tall. So what I’m wondering is will the Dual up raise up more then 9 inches off the desk? Thank you for your video

Je vois que tu utilise des Edifier MR4 et je suis très tenté de m'en acheter une paire. As-tu eu la chance de les tester? Les recommanderais-tu ? For our non-french speaking brethren, here's what I asked : I see you're using Edifier MR4s and I'm very tempted to buy myself a pair. Have you had the chance to test them? Would you recommend them?

Hey/Allo :) I think they're surprisingly nice for the price! I think they're a better value than the Kanto YU2 or AudioEngine A2+ (more balanced sound, vs the lack of bass with these 2) but they are quite a bit bigger so they take more room on a desk.

Looks a bit weird, however I am rather an LG 27UP850 enjoyer. For $400 a 27" 4K DCI-P3 screen with Type-C and 96W of charging for Macs is good enough for me. There is also an UP650 variant without the Type-C feature with essentialy the same screen but for even cheaper.

This monitor is an ergonomic nightmare if you use it as a single monitor. I do devops work and rather have a 32" 16:10 screen. Just think about how the human field of view looks like and it will make a lot of sense if the screen reaches a certain size. I agree extra vertical space is very nice but without the corresponding horizontal space I do not see the point honestly. The video editors I had taking a look at it all told me they prefer their ultrawides or multi monitor setups as well. Love the Idea of having a smaller desk footprint but that thing does not make sense as a primary display... Maybe for very specific applications but I do not see it even if all you do is staring into an ide and documentation.

"I need more screen realestate" ">buys smaller monitor and cranks the UI scaling to 2x" What are you doing? Stop with the quirky hipster nonsense. Literally just buy a large >40" 4K panel (preferably OLED) and use it at 100% scaling.
@minimalistik Жыл бұрын
Low PPI, no thanks
@MangoTangoFox Жыл бұрын
@@minimalistik PPI is irrelevant. PPD is what's relevant. And neither is relevant for text/UI-based work when you change the scaling outside of 100% like you did in the video. Your phone and tablet are VASTLY higher PPI, so which is the correct number? Why not go 27" 4K or even a smaller portable 4K monitor if you really think you care about PPI that much? You have giant standing desks, set inside giant rooms, so in what scenario would you NEED high PPI that would enable you to sit super close to the display? And conversely, how often is having these tiny displays preventing you from using them while taking a step back to multitask/exercise/etc, ya know, the point of a standing desk...
