If you are a good tall dancer, you have an advantage, people will notice you from a distance. If you are a bad tall dancer, you have a disadvantage, people will notice you from a distance. 💥

It’s more than that. Even dancing individually looks different. The choreography will look different - moves have a different visual impact. It’s harder to dance when you’re taller but if you can do it well it looks cooler

I just love when Dassy said “if you’re short don’t doubt yourself”, and “if you’re tall, then use that” and when Jay said “just dance big and go for it initially, and expand it through your body...you don’t want to tell your story in a whisper, we want to tell your story with confidence” Me on the inside: I wish I was taller...😅😅 What they said really inspired me, I want to learn these choreographies now!

Dassy/short dancer: more explosiveness, big moves because its easier for your body to get from to A to B due to shorter range of motion, possibly to compensate dancing/match energy with taller people Jay/Tall dancer: Tends to be more detailed and intricate possibly because its harder to do big moves due to larger range of motion. When youre big or tall the small moves are still quite noticeable and a really good contrast to your size

I feel that the taller dancers get noticed more cause of their height and bigger moves. Shorter dancers have to work harder to make their moves bigger but they excel in quick moves and floor work.
@Bodball2 жыл бұрын
Taller dancers actually have a harder time learning the same moves due to having larger levers, the result after learning it correctly is more noticeable though... so basically the grass is always greener

I was so sad their combined rendition of Jay's dance didn't last longer🥺 I would LOVE for them to do the whole song. I think their contrast works great together and given more time they could really exploit those differences to create something amazing. It's not a bad thing to notice that two dancers have different heights, quirks, strengths, etc, it's just a matter of them knowing how to use that to their advantage (and I have no doubt these two talented professionals would know exactly what to do). They also seemed to have a lot of fun together, which made the video that much more fun to watch ❤️

OMG I WAS LOOKING FOR A VIDEO LIKE THIS! i'm 5'2 (159cm) and I noticed tall people look better dancing because their limbs are longer and give better lines. Because I'm short I have to really stretch out my arms. Another thing I noticed is short people dance faster than tall people. So I tend to be one step faster than I should and it ends up looking rushed. I have to purposefully slow down. And lastly, bending your knees helps with bounce and angles but when you're already short, I feel self-conscious making myself look even shorter (like can you even see me now? lol).

My favorite part about all these videos about dancers learning each other styles is how much they hype each other up while learning the dance. And they all come in with so much eagerness and respect for each other's special skill set. As someone who can't dance to save their life I really enjoy the camaraderie and fun they all seem to have stepping out of their comfort zones. It's truly amazing to get to watch and enjoy.
