The atmosphere of those long pedal notes, Sarah twirling around, Bill's playing... let alone the songs, it all adds up to the best live concert video I've ever seen. I only heard about them in the mid-90s and I didn't miss an Astoria gig since my first one in 96 but this concert is as good as it ever got. Absolutely fan-fucking-tastic.

Another classic! Great to see this - saw them lots back around this time with these songs and brings it all back- Is This The Life? Yes it was... big time! Amazing band. Opened my mind and still nod to and quote them to this day. 40 years old, but will ALWAYS love Cardiacs. :)

I saw Cardiacs opening for It Bites at the old Town and Country Club in about 1987. Scary, messy (squirty string, cream and confetti), weird, unsettling but tight as hell, memorable and wonderful. Get well soon, Tim.

god i miss seeing them...! does anyone have plankton video clips?? That was always my favourite bit of the gig. i think it was called plankton. it was sometimes before is this the life. maybe it wasnt called that but all ive got is a right scratchy tape of a live gig with it on. please please someone must have it..???
