Talman TM1730M Prestige

The TM1730 Prestige is built around a traditionally styled Talman Alder body for a strong, full sound with beefy lows and sizzling high-end. The Maple “Talman Classic-Plus” 22-fret neck is a traditional “C” shape for a comfortable, familiar feel reminiscent of guitars from the 50’s and 60’s, but its bright, clean-sounding Maple fretboard is where modern innovation takes over. A distinct Ibanez asset is its flatter fingerboard radius- a feature more conducive to the techniques of both modern guitarists, as well as traditional slide players. Another Ibanez advantage comes from the smooth, contoured Fast Access neck joint, which provides unfettered access to even the highest frets. Hardware includes an Ibanez ITL-PRO tremolo bridge for accurate intonation, and Gotoh® locking machine heads for absolute tuning stability. The TM1730M Prestige also features Seymour Duncan® pickups, known for their uncanny sweet, classic tone and great sustain-ideal for country, pop, blues or classic rock.

I finally got a brand new one last month after surveying for quite some time. It's the TM 302. As long as it's a Talman, i don't mind. Still a badass guitar i must say.

without the Kent Armstrong pickups or neat colours and finishes these don't really deserve the Talman name. The bridge is different from the originals, and the neck dimensions are even different. These are just more copies of strats and teles. They lack all the mojo that the real Talmans had. Ibanez played it way too safe trying to re-issue these. What a let down.
