Siren has led to me to some of the most amazing music, songs and bands I might otherwise have never discovered. I googled to see who the music supervisor is for Siren, her name is Laura Webb, and she has awesome taste in music - kudos! The Emmy’s finally began giving awards for music supervision in 2017, finally recognized that the right song, at the right moment, can amplify the emotional intensity of a scene and make it resonate with the audience in a way that elevates it to a whole other level. In short, a song can make a scene memorable - or even iconic - or make it forgettable. I hope Laura Webb is at least nominated, and even better, wins an Emmy, because she is extremely talented. The music for this show has simply been outstanding.

"I'm wide awake the forest the blundering cold. I'm awake when the dark is asleep..." There was a time this song was a somber drinking companion of mine. Standing on my deck staring into the forest in the middle of the night wondering why I insist on drinking. Two years clean now, slowly but surely gaining the strength to revisit the songs from the dark times and enjoy them in a new light.
