Cork is in mourning. What an extraordinary and unique person Talos was. I remember the first time I heard Eoin's haunting voice in St. Lukes a couple of years ago. It was my first ever concert in the church, and I was just mesmerised the moment they started playing, but most of all the moment Eoin started singing. I don't think I've cried so much at a concert in my entire life. The acoustics, the lyrics, his voice... it was like he reached into my soul and shook something in there. And I remember for the first time since I left Norway and my home country, I felt like I had found a home. Talos stirred emotions in me I didn't know I had. It's with deep sadness that I write this, and all my love goes out to his family and friends. The world will miss you Eoin French. To me, this beautiful piece of music just reminds me that all of our time is fleeting on this earth, and we better make the most of each day. 💚

Ok so this one was interesting.. we had our sound engineer actually hidden behind the piano, with mics there so capture 🎹.. then we actually had the lapel mic taped to the side of his face which you can’t see so we could get the best possible vocal! Plus the space itself just had so much insane reverb

I was blessed to see Talos perform 3 times and met Eoin in person twice. He was the nicest guy and phenominal musician. We're the same age and it puts into perspective just how soon he went to rest and the fragility of life. We truly say farewell to a beautiful talent that gifted the world. 🤍

Is this just the natural acoustics of the room- feels like even this has fake reverb added, or has the natural reverb been "fixed"? I don't really understand these things, it just feels unnatural? Anyone who knows anything can help me out? Still a quality bit of music. But a lot of mahogony videos have too much forced reverb, losing the sound of the spaces.
