..you have convinced me to convert mine. That sounds so good! What heads do you use on your floor Tom?

Sounds great! Custom duo drum! How do you find the Jam Mini plays in general?
@OllieWoodsDrums4 жыл бұрын
It's a really nice kit for the price. I've got the 10/13/14/18 configuration which is easy to transport and works for smaller gigs and general practice.

Great video, I have the same kit bit have found the bass drum to be quiet, it still has the stock head on it, any ad ice on how to get a louder sound from it? Also have you ported your front head?
@OllieWoodsDrums3 жыл бұрын
I’ve got a ported head on it but it is still pretty quiet. This has worked really well for smaller gigs but can also sound huge with a mic. I’ve got an Evans Emad batter tuned just above finger-tight which is an improvement on the stock head.

My club jam toms continue to ring, i use Evans clear heads, am i not tuning properly

I’ve got 2-ply coated heads and haven’t had too much problem when tuning medium-low. Maybe some dampening gels or tape would help if you want to stick with your tuning.

what heads are you using? and any tutorial on how to convert it into a snare drum? thanks! I do have the same club jam too! And I want to try this one soon!

I’ve got Remo Vintage Ambassador batter and an old stock Yamaha/Remo reso in this video. Happy to go through the process if you email me (in description), but essentially you just fit the snare attachments and adjust the bearing edge.

Sounds rad. Any advice on cutting the snare bed?

I marked the width and depth then just filed them down by hand

What a cool idea! How tricky was it to convert?
@OllieWoodsDrums4 жыл бұрын
Not too bad actually, although the snare beds weren’t easy to do by hand!

@@OllieWoodsDrums this sounds really great man! Looking to do the same with mine, any tips for a first timer?

I would say the most important part is measuring everything out before drilling to keep it all clean. Feel free to email me (olliewoodsdrums@gmail.com) if you’re interested in any more detail on the process though!
