Superb job! If those bearings are 608 you can try swap them for skateboard bearings. Usually the drum pedal ones have a metal cage and are gresed. The skateboard have a nylon cage and are just light oiled, more than you need for a even smother beater move. Another cheap and good mod.

I did something similar with my 1gen cobras a while ago, but the brass bushings were somehow spinning in the hinge and ate up the aluminium and became loose again, so I had to drill perpendicular mini grub screws (similar to those on the bearings) to hold them in place. So keep this in mind. Other than that, stellar job!

Awesome mod! For a 1st get iron cobra double pedal, do you happen to know if the bearings on the slave pedal side of the main pedal shaft is replaceable (the bearings inside the cylinder part that the slave beater shaft holder is gripped to). They seem like they’re welded in unlike the 2nd gen thru current where the bearings just come out of the cylinder.

@@heathvaldez8941 yes they are replaceable. They may have a small amount of locktite on them so they may need pressing out 👍
