I'm always stuck between the high and mid tuning. Feel like that is the magic spot. Too high and it doesn't have enough body. Too low and it doesn't have the crack.

Use a different head to get body, evans dotted would work good on this one.

Do you think this snare has enough body? I really wanted the 14x5.5, but given it's not made anymore and second hand gear is rare in my area I was considering this snare and can't try it out in person.
