1:15 That hi-hat groove sits so well with that guitar riff. Everything from his playing, techniques, composition, mix, and mastering is perfect. Sebastian is one of the best drummers in the world, no doubt. :O
@NarMattaru4 жыл бұрын
Yes, and I think with David Diepold we will lose that groove. They are totally different techniques, and you could already tell the difference when he played covers of Obscura (Difference in favor of Sebastian). They are both great drummers, but that strongly mixed groove is unique to Sebastian.
@kristijanfistrek90554 жыл бұрын
@@NarMattaru I don't actually worry, it is not something David will not be able to nail. I'm sure he'll contribute some amazing drum lines and bring forth a more aggressive approach to the rhythm section. I see people talking about it like David is a noobie. Don't worry, he got this.

I believe a herta is where the count is 1 2 3 4 and you play the 1 2 and 3. And a triplet is where you would play 3 stokes in the time it was supposed to be 4? kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZq2lJeplqllfbc

I could rave about that kit and his precision all day, but that Mudvayne bass-tone is really ripping my attention away right now 😵
@ericwilliams73745 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I sort of agree with you, but I saw an interview with Steffen Kummerer. He explained that they wanted the bass to stand out more. Like it was a 3rd guitar instead of it just following along with the "rhythm guitars". So, hopefully, if you try to keep that in mind, it will help you maybe change your mind a bit about the bass tone. Though I admit, it could be just a tad bit better.
@Assimilator7025 жыл бұрын
Christian Baumgartner You might think of Mudvayne when you hear that bass tone however it was used back in the 90’s on one of Deaths later albums. It might have only been on one track.
@Khazandar5 жыл бұрын
Except Martinie never used fretless bass in Mudvayne.
@Assimilator7025 жыл бұрын
@BeardedDanishViking It's the same idea regardless of the specifics. The bass guitar tone Martine used was very similar. And coming from the 90's it's obvious.
@cbaum645 жыл бұрын
I definitely agree with you all, let me just clarify that that tone is absolutely sick, I didn’t mean the comment in any sort of negative way. I’ve always thought it sounded like a chainsaw ripping through water, especially on L.D. 50.
