* Things I observed in this interview * 1. Parul is more mature and have respect for the language of her Karma Bhoomi. 2. Other 2 ignored Kannada industry which was the first to start contemporary movies in 70s. 3. Kajal is the fake person I have ever seen, she can't pronounce 'Ponnu'( May be intentionally ) 4. She says like she had never watched south movies, she never knew south movies before etc., before Like she was from Pakistan,(now Pakistan also watches South movies.., May be she feels superior about North) 5. Kajal can't talk Telugu and Tamil but covers it saying people watch ur honesty bla bla etc.( How many Telugu people have disappointment that she doesn't know Telugu is a well known fact) 5. Other 2 didn't allow Parul to talk. 6. Tamannah had some concern towards Telugu language but Kajal was like she was from heaven and doesn't know South. 7. Parul is the true South Actor who respects and understands South culture especially Karnataka. 8. Parul mentioned about Legendary Dr. Rajkumar was truly commendable and earned lots of love from Kannadigas. It gave them the feel that Atleast she has some concern about their Kannada culture. 9. Host should be very cautious about pronouncing a name of one of the oldest languages of India, KannadA, she isn't some new internship girl. She has interviewed so many people and I think it's pretty common sense 2 know the name of a language( we south Indians don't say Hind, though we don't know the language)

I don't know, but these heroines were chosen for their market value over their acting capabilities. Except for maybe Manjima, who's a natural and can actually speak the language and dub. You know for sure that if someone like Nitya Menon or Parvati are part of a malayalam film then they are going to have as good a role as the male lead. Telugu cinema is changing one of the biggest hits last year was Mahaniti (which was again based on an actress who was a legend and pulled crowd on her own) Anushka and Samantha have been part of quite a few women centric movies in telugu cinema. I am not sure how Kannada films go in this matter and may be that is where Parul is coming from but to bring the complete south industry into it is not done.

@Being Mortal yes there are instances where women have been objectified but the instances of those are much more in bollywood also women in Tamil cinema at least which I am aware of have always had equal footing because we have always had directors like A. C. Tirulokchandr (who might be working with MGR or Sivaji but never compromised on roles of Jayalalitha or Saroja Devi) in every Balancher movie you will find a strong women character and he made women centric movies even before these divides came in, Sridevi had a much more impactful role than Rajni and Kamal in Moondru Mudichu also not to forget movies like Sindu Bharavi, Avargal, Kalki, Iru kodugal and many more. Similarly you will very rarely find any loose characters in a Mani Rathnam movie or a Shankar film. Movies like Aranya Kandam, Aarithil oruvan, Aruvi, Aramm have some of the best female characters of recent times. Take last year movies let it be Vada Chennai, 96, Kaala, Kaana, CCV etc all had impactful female characters

Kannada films are no way behind in making Women Centric Movies .Parul Yadav does not know Kannada film industry history properly,..In Kannada, there are many women-oriented films. Puttanna Kanagal can be called as the man who made films where women were the protagonist. Be it Sharapanjara, Gejjepooje, Masanada Hoo, Manasa Sarovara or Ranganayaki, Puttanna paved the way for an alternate cinema which was consumed by the mass as well as the class audience of the Karnataka. Puttana Kangal the greatest Director of kannada cinema ever produced..Women oriented films started in making from 1970s itself in Kannada..Recent times Malashri ,Umashree,Pooja Gandhi,Shraddha shrinath,shwetha shrivatsava list Goes on..If Bollywood thinks they are making it and made it than others its their shitty and Foolish thought which cannot be appreciated...
