My grandma has vitiligo and I'm sooo glad she shows her face without makeup too. Having confidence despite flaws is something I can appreciate about her even more. Since vitiligo seems to run in the family there is a chance I'll be dealing with this soon. I hope Tamar finds that confidence one day and become a positive role model for people with this disease too. I see her fans hella defensive too but it's the truth. Actually Tamar never likes to speak about it. It was Vince who first spoke about Tamar's vitiligo in an interview after BFV viewers were accusing her of bleaching her skin. It was her nemesis K.Michelle who poked fun of her make-up, saying she looked like the characters from the movie "white chicks"...Then Tamar only addressed it on The Real, again because of bleaching rumors when she really wears so much make-up to cover her spots, blotches, and discolorations. People are making comments as if vitiligo is some sort of minor skin discoloration when its effects result in extremely abnormal discolorations. NO ONE WANTS TO SEE THAT. Personally, I'd rather see her face beat to the gawds than for her to show the disfigurement and be beat down mercilessly by her haters who already know she's insecure.
