Comparing people is downright evil to me. Twins are known to have polar opposite dispositions. They are never attracted to the same way of life, colors, men etc. Especially personality wise, they're tend to be a stack contrast of one another. In this case Tia is clearly the fighter of the two while Tamara is the nuturer. And just because Tia is not as sensitive as her sister doesn't make her worse because on the show you could see they are similarly mindful.
