Tamara McLoyd sentenced to life in prison for murder of Cleveland police officer Shane Bartek

A judge has sentenced 19-year-old Tamara McLoyd to life in prison for the murder of Cleveland police officer Shane Bartek back on New Year's Eve.
Cuyahoga County Judge John P. O'Donnell also sentenced Tamara McLoyd for her role in multiple separate robberies. While McLoyd will be eligible for parole at some point, O'Donnell believes she will be "in her 70s" before that is the case, due to consecutive penalties for the other crimes.
"You are a walking id," O'Donnell told McLoyd after he handed down his sentence. "You threatened, you stole, you robbed, and [you] killed without compunction."
Bartek, 25, was shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 4300 block of Rocky River Drive around 6 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2021. He was a two-year veteran of the Cleveland Division of Police, and although he wasn't working at the time of the shooting, Bartek's murder was later ruled a line-of-duty death, which allowed the city to assist with funeral expenses. He was laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park.

Good question, but it's not that simple! You must take into consideration years of oppression, social engineering and a weakening corrupt, government! It should be illegal to use social engineering on people the way the music industry does, as well as illegal to profit from private prisons. Those owning the prisons provide incentives for dysfunctional people to commit crimes to fill a bed. In this case, they will get 54 years of taxpayer dollars to incarcerate this woman. Take that an multiple it by thousands of inmates and you have modernized slavery and big profits for the owners!!

I think she was just expressing that her daughter may be on the Spectrum or has mental issues, and it’s unrelated to how she raised her, hence, something is wrong with HER (killer). I do understand that people grow up in less than ideal situations. I was a victim of physical and verbal abuse until I graduated from HS. Two days after HS at the age of 17 I moved from PA to Wash., DC with just a few hundred dollars that I saved from working through HS. It was another rough time working a full time job, a part time one and trying to put myself through college at the same time. I was fortunate and made it through all of that. Not once during all that time did I ever think of turning to a life of crime and justifying it because I had my ass kicked daily by my dad and had to listen to him verbally tearing me apart. Plenty of people suffered throughout their childhood and managed to get out of the situation and live productive lives.

If she makes it out alive, she'll be passed retirement age, too inexperienced and unskilled to work a job, her family will be gone and unable to support her, too old to re-offend, and she will have no idea how to make it in this completely different World. May his soul Rest In Peace. God comfort the hearts of his sister, mother, brother, and their entire family, friends, fellow officers and all who knew and loved him. I pray this woman serves her entire sentence and gets the help she needs. The legal system continues to let these criminals back out on the streets and they never fail to do worse. This man lost his life because she was allowed to be out on bail. So sad and heartbreaking.
